Rail shooters are something I don’t normally care for, but with two exceptions so far. One is Rez, Sega’s music themed rail shooter, for its brilliant use of minimalist visuals and music integration. And the other is Star Fox. Why does Star Fox overcome my usual dislike of rail shooters? Maybe it’s the fact that you’re in a little space ship, sometimes flying through space, sometimes on planets. Whatever the reason, I can’t resist the siren call of a remake of Star Fox 64. 

Monday (6/22/26):

  • Dark Scrolls (Switch, PC) – “Dark Scrolls is a fantasy-themed action platformer that fuses shmup-style chaos with roguelite progression and is packed with charm, challenge, and secrets.”
  • Microwave Simulator (PC) – “Ever microwaved a live chicken? Now’s your chance. Build a completely “serious” and “real” restaurant empire powered by the dumbest kitchen appliance imaginable, all from the comfort of your cozy little home.”
  • Safe Quacker (PC) – “Safe Quacker is a cute 3D incremental heist game where you play as a duck thief pecking loot, collecting treasure, upgrading your beak, unlocking tougher vault rooms, and cracking the legendary Golden Egg for prestige.”

Tuesday (6/23/26):

  • Deer & Boy (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch) – “In this poetic cinematic platformer, a runaway boy meets a fawn. As their bond grows, so do their abilities and the emotional weight of their journey, where silence speaks louder than words.”
  • Dimhaven – The Lost Source (PC) – “Are you ready for an adventure? Challenges, exploration and puzzles in a narrative driven experience, pick up your camera and test your wits in this first-person mystery by the team behind Quern!”

Wednesday (6/24/26):

  • Empulse (Early Access) (PC, Xbox Series X/S) -” Empulse is an upcoming fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter. Wall-run, grapple, Holojump, pilot mechs, and paint your way through Freehold’s vertical streets. Outmove your opponent or get outgunned.”

Thursday (6/25/26):

  • Dead or Alive 6 Last Round (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC) – “Fan-favorite 3D fighting game Dead or Alive 6 is back with stylish moves, striking animations, and a cast of colorful characters to go head-to-head in the fighting game world’s most extreme battles!”

Friday (6/26/26):
