This week’s biggest headliner has to be Subnautica 2. Unknown Worlds was involved in a big legal battle with their publisher who ousted the studio’s leadership, but the studio leadership won their court battle and now back in charge. Before that happened the publisher had announced this early access release of Subnautica 2, maybe to defy the court decision? But the studio heads are back in charge, and they’re still coming out this week with an early access release of Subnautica 2. So I think we’re all curious about what kind of state Subnautica 2 will be on this early access release.

This week also sees a release of a new Battlestar Galactica game; the release of Outbound, a sequel to Call of the Sea called Call of the Elder Gods; and Directive 8020 from the Until Dawn developers.

Monday (5/11/26):

  • Zhui Shu (PC) – “Officer Yang Fan receives a distorted radio distress call during his shift.The signal traces back to an abandoned apartment building—one linked to the records of a young girl’s suicide years prior. As his investigation unfolds, he uncovers a dark secret buried so deep,no one dares speak of it.”

Tuesday (5/12/26):

  • Call of the Elder Gods (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PC) – “All is not well at Miskatonic University. Professor Harry Everhart tries to ignore the shadows flitting at the corners of his vision, while student Evangeline Drayton is haunted with impossible dreams of an artifact uncovered a decade ago. In their search for answers, the pair will uncover revelations more ancient than anyone could have imagined.”
  • Nitro Gen Omega (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC) – “Humanity has lost the war. The wastelands are now crawling with rogue AI and scavenging war machines. You and your mercenary crew fight to survive, taking on contracts from the last remaining cities built high above the wasteland.”
  • Directive 8020 (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC) – “Earth is dying and humanity is running out of time. 12 light years from home, Tau Ceti f offers a small sliver of hope. Wednesday (5/13/26):

  • Feline Forensics and the Meowseum Mystery (PC) – “There’s only one detective to unravel this murder turned museum heist… and they’re the cat’s meow. Thursday (5/14/26):

Friday (5/15/26):

  • Steel Artery: Train City Builder (PC) – “Build a living city on rails in this steampunk fantasy train-city builder.
