Wallet threat level: Christmas coal?

Another week filled with releases no one’s heard of. Another week where the wallet threat is mostly game sales. Although some of the elevator pitches for this week’s games make them sound pretty cool though, so keep reading and don’t assume your wallet is entirely safe.

Monday (12/22/25):​

  • Protocol X (PC) – “In the semi-open world horror game Protocol X, you must uncover a dark past set in 1975 Germany, survive deadly experiments, save your family and the Weltel family, and race against time in a historical story that offers 7 different endings.”
  • Hello Kitty Skyland (Quest) – “Hello Kitty Skyland is a social VR game that brings the charm of Sanrio into an expansive virtual world. Players from around the globe can gather in Skyland to meet friends, explore themed environments, and experience interactive encounters with Sanrio characters as immersive experiences only possible in VR.”

Tuesday (12/23/25):​

  • The Joker’s Game (PC) – “The Joker’s Game is an FMV crime battle royale. Jack, drowning in debt, joins a lethal game. Critical choices, even small ones, shape outcomes. Outwit rivals, uncover truths, or perish? Every move decides survival… or the deadly prize.”

Wednesday (12/24/25):​

Thursday (12/25/25):

  • Fast Food Rage(PC) – “Welcome to a universe where cheese is deadlier than lasers and extra bacon counts as heavy armor. Evil mutant pizzas have invaded your home planet, melting cities, clogging arteries and plotting to steal every spice in existence.”
  • Pritto Prisoner (Switch 2, Switch, PC) – “Pritto Prisoner is a chaotic 4v2 prison break party game where mischievous animal inmates cook up absurd escape plans while overworked robot guards scramble to stop them.”

Friday (12/26/25):​

  • Ethernia (PC) – “2D pixel art MMORPG with real-time combat, gathering, crafting, and immersive storytelling. Evolve your class, fight monsters, and discover if you’re the Heir of Ethernia.”
