The auction for THQ&#8217;s less in-demand properties ended with almost $7 million being raised. (Contrast this amount to the figure paid by Sega for just Company of Heroes &#8211; $26.6 million.) Licenses were divided into six lots for bidding according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kccllc.net\/documents\/1213398\/1213398130226000000000004.pdf\">court documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nLot 1: Darksiders<br \/>\nLot 2: Red Faction<br \/>\nLot 3: Homeworld<br \/>\nLot 4: MX<br \/>\nLot 5: Titan Quest, uDraw, Summoner, others<br \/>\nLot 6: Supreme Commander, Worms, Costume Quest, others<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The sales will be finalized through the next few days so information will trickle out from various sources.<\/p>\n<p>First up, space battle fan favorite <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gearboxsoftware.com\/community\/articles\/1029\/homeworld-acquisition-and-plans\/\">Homeworld has been purchased by Gearbox Software<\/a>. Let&#8217;s hope that whatever they do is more like the quality of Borderlands 2 and less like Aliens: Colonial Marines. This sale is especially interesting as it was the target of an unsuccessful bid from fans using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/teampix\/homeworld-touch-ios-android-and-homeworld-3-pc-mac\">Kickstarter<\/a> to bring a port to iOS.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/thq-inc-receive-6-55-215600268.html\">Update<\/a>: Nordic Games Licensing AB bought Darksiders, Red Faction, and Lots 5 and 6 for $4.9 million. Gearbox paid $1.35 million for Homeworld.
