This happens with my DSS system sometimes. I hit the Alt Audio button by mistake and the Spanish pours forth.

Why won't this damn thing switch back to English?

Why are we becoming a Spanish-language console site?

"The Future is Bright - the Future is Spanish
Spanish-language television powerhouse Univision has managed to buck the industrywide advertising slump, according to Phyllis Furman of the New York Daily News. The Los Angeles-based network, which controls 80% of the country's Spanish-language broadcasting, has seen ad revenue rise 10% over last year. Analysts cite the rapid growth in the Hispanic population of the United States in the past ten years as the main factor."

Combine that with the growing console market, and that says it all. We've got a lot more console coverage in the hopper. I'm getting an Xbox, we're playing GBA games, etc. It's going to be cool -- if you speak Spanish!

Trop mauvais je n'ai pas appris l'espagnol dans le lycée. J'ai passé toute mon heure dans le laboratoire d'ordinateur étant un nerd et obtenant a martelé par les jocks de langue espagnole.

I sometimes watch "La Hora Pico" on Univision Sundays. Those Spanish channels know the value of a hot babe, something I wish American TV was more tuned in to. And I mean that in the most enlightened way, yes I do.

"Quantum materiae materietur marmota
monax si marmota monax materiam possit
materiari?"

Trans: "How much wood would a woodchuck
chuck is a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

Latin, the most useful dead language I ever
studied in high school. And by "studied" I
mean "skimmed through some books that
said strange things about Caligula's horse
and charmed the teacher into giving me a B by
making a really nice mosaic out of pinto
beans that said 'Cave Canem' (Beware of the
Dog)".

It's 4:00 am and I just woke up unexpectedly and was not in a good mood about it.

But this made me laugh out loud. Thanks, Amanpour. :)

"Dos cervesas, por favor,"

"Donde esta la playa nudista?"
