Saying a game is perfect is quite the statement. Has anyone played this one yet?

The two previous Hawk games are so good, it would not surprise me if the graphical facelift afforded by the PS2 along with the new skate areas really does push it to perfection. THPS2 on Dreamcast is heavenly. Neversoft is one of the best US console development houses around.

I too, was skeptical about this gushing review and score. I was actually planning on writing up some thoughts on game criticism (which I will still probably do, just not right this minute :) ) regarding this...

I don't entirely understand the raves about the Tony Hawk games. I think they are fun for a few hours until you run into a challenge you can't complete, and then you are stuck on that same track trying the same stunt over and over again forever. In THPS2, I think I got to the third track before becoming stuck forever, as I can't earn enough coins to try anything else but repeating the same one or two time challenges I'm not good enough to beat.

BOR-ING!

Dude, you suck.

But seriously-- which level were you stuck on? They usually give you enough level goals that you can pick and choose the ones you like. You don't have to complete them all.

The GBA version of Tony Hawk 2 is a miracle. It plays almost identically to the real game-- gotta love those tiny little polygonal skaters!

I only use THPS as a simulator to train for escaping from Gord's shop after a bitchin' half-hour shoplift session.

I just got THPS3 this morning from ebworld, so it's out there.
