Game released - I didn't see any bugs. But now, with every patch this game gets buggier and buggier for me.
Today I saw bears, spiders and sadly my headstone flying. I got stuck twice in places I have never been stuck before, once causing me to leave the game after dying and losing more exp.
Makes me doubt I will actually pay a monthly fee for this - especially a premium monthly fee.
Chet

I've yet to have any real problems beyond the lag that was introduced last weekend and then fixed later in the weekend. I know they're working on some network issues.
Well, lag in the big cities has always been terrible from the start. That's a real issue with the game for me.

I don't think there's an Aussie server, but an Aussie was playing last night.

Ugh - no Aussie servers = lag city.
I wonder how DAOC handles 28.8K connects ?

im on 56k it handles the game well, except in some cities... or particularly Hibernia cities like Mag Mell and Tir Na Nog. I havent seen as much city lag in the other realms main cities.
i think they may open up an aussie server... i do know they plan to have a few euro servers after xmas.
etc

I believe all of the servers are located at UUNet in VA about 50 miles from me. :) UUNet is an integral part of the eastern internet backbone and can provide Mythic with tons of bandwidth on demand, something EQ couldn't do at startup. I love the servers being east coast based. It beats the crap out of San Diego. :)
BTW, I read about this in an interview on some site I can't remember. Do a google search for DAOC server location and you will probably find it.

Actually, out here in San Diego we're doing just fine, at least with cable modem connections. That even includes me using Roger Wilco for voice comms with a friend. Plus, it's warm enough to wear shorts today.

Well, I'm slightly north of L.A. (35 miles), and it is 81 F now. However, the ten-day forecast shows us stuck in the mid-70s for the next ten days, so I might have to switch to long pants. Brrrrr! ;)
