Just a little warning to anyone who wants to try this, in case it wasn't made clear enough in linked thread: Messing with your registry can cause major, MAJOR problems. If you follow the directions as they gave them (as I'm sure you'll all do, so I'm probably wasting my breath), you should be fine.
Just in case, write down exactly how everything you change looked before you made the changes, and it SHOULD be recoverable.

i got it working... all it requires is a new patch file and an added line in your D2 registry key...voila 800x600.
Kind of annoying in a sense becuase Blizzard could have probably added this in months ago. Though I'll give em credit, they are the ones selling the 4 million games.
btw, its a whole different ballgame... cant wait for the expansion pack.
