"Does your wife ever say things like, "He can design a game that encompasses all of civilized history, but he cant take the trash out!"
"No, but every year we celebrate 'We Love the King Day.'"
Heh -- Sid's a funny guy. He actually did this interview in about 20 minutes via email. Not only is he a game design genius, he's a darned good comedian as well!

There's a point at which an article has too much fluff. This is way past that point.

Hey, I thought this interview was entertaining and funny. Not every interview has to be serious. So I suggest lightening up a bit there Qenan. But, hey, everyone has a right to a opinion I guess.

That was a fairly ancient interview but it's still a good read. Especially the part where Sid tells people with a game idea to get a C++ compiler and Deluxe Paint. :-)
Are you planning to put all your CGW interviews on the website over time? Would make for a nice archive.
Oh yeah, the link to the interview is still missing from the sidebar. AS USUAL!!! :-p

Wouldn't happen with a database-driven site, wink wink, nudge nudge. ;)

Yeah, most of them, since CGW was nice enough to grant us permission. I mean, why not? Sid was one of the best interviewees. One developer I just could not coax into being the least bit funny. I set him up with straight lines and he ignored them. I ended up ditching the interview.

Damn you and your Germanic efficiency! :) I put one in.
Database-driven site Wumpus? That sounds complicated. One of the things Tom and I like about the way we do things now is that we can use Dreamweaver, which shields us from having to do a lot of the formatting by hand. I know that marks us as HTML weenies, but we like it this way. It's more like using a word processor. I go back to the days of Wordstar, and I remember well having to put in codes to format the text. No fun.
