I'm waiting for the shuttle back to the airport, standing next to another guy who's obviously a gaming press dude. In front of this Vegas hotel, we're all pretty conspicuous, especially to each other. I introduce myself and he introduces himself. He says he runs some sort of Mortal Kombat fansite. It’s the morning after the announcement of Mortal Kombat vs. DC, which showed Batman and, I dunno, Sub Zero or someone in a Samurai mask, punching the T-rated heck out of each other.
"We’re offline right now," he says.
"Lots of traffic, after the announcement?"
"Yeah. It’s like a riot."
"In a bad way or a good way?"
"Oh, in a bad way."
