That's a pretty good analogy.

I think the question was more about why people who no longer watch Saturday morning TV shows (because they aren't six years old anymore) are going to see these movies. It doesn't make any sense to make a movie rated PG-13 but leave it with a plot for elementary school kids.

You guys that want to see it for unintentional comedy need to remember that it is pretty damn long. I had a couple beers just an hour before the movie and it was not enough.

Also, I worry that Megan Fox is turning into a one-look chick like Paris Hilton. She doesn't simply flash one pose but she already bugs me most of the time (when her breasts aren't jostling of course). Ugh.

We were trying to figure out which shot she might've popped out of her top, and couldn't narrow it down. It could've been any scene where she was running, or crouching, or hiding.

Was there a rumor to that effect? I made a joke about it earlier in the thread but hadn't really heard. Nothing on my favorite reference site, celebritymoviearchive.com (NSFW). Actually there is some slip from a photo shoot but you'd have to be a leghumper to get excited.

Oh, or are you just saying you were debating which shots had that potential?

Here's my mindbender question. How does Jetfire, Sam, Mikeala, and RoboWarrior walk out of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and onto the airplane graveyard in the desert?

What do you mean? There really isn't an aircraft bone yard behind the Smithsonian????

heh. When we were working on Enchanted, Amy Adam's princess dress drops down for a little nipple exposure on one frame, and it made it through to the actual cut. It was on movement, in the rain, motion blurred, and completely not worth looking for. But seeing as we deal with things frame by frame here, we sure didn't miss it. That said, the shower scene was much more fun to look at pre-CG.

I figure most of the internet is hearing all this hubbub about "the twins" and is making the most obvious assumption.

I fell asleep in the theater after... probably 45 minutes. My fiancee isn't sure because she was riveted, laughing and enjoying all the big booms for the whole movie. Myself, well, I'm glad I was tired tonight. I can't say I can review the movie in full, since it put me to sleep, but anything that puts me to sleep that fast can't be worth it, right? Damn, $20 on the tickets, $7 for the hotdog, and $16 for the popcorn for two.

I want it back.

A comedy tonight!

I just realized something. One of the big plot points is that they're trying to resurrect Optimus because only a Prime can beat a Prime, and since The Fallen is a Prime, their only hope is to have Optimus take him on.

So...how did Megatron kill Optimus?

I swear, this movie was written by a braintrust of monkeys.

Break it off. It's not worth it to marry someone who would enjoy this movie.

How does popcorn for two cost $16 anywhere in America?

I hate to say my wife enjoyed the movie (she's so naive, it's precious) but at least didn't want to buy the Blu-Ray or anything when it comes out. Thank goodness.

God. Just came back from it. It totally raped my mind.

Pros: Closeups of Megan Fox running in slow-mo towards the camera.
Cons: Everything else.

All of the action with none of the plot inducing headaches or cringy attempts at humor found here .

Although I must admit "there are no tighter shirts" made me laugh.

You guys realize that there are topless pics of Fox on the internet, right? Quit throwing money at this movie!

I don't think it's fair to judge Transformers 3 yet, because (according to his recent statement, at least...we'll see if it holds true) Michael Bay apparently won't be involved with that. Depending on who gets attached to the project, the third one could be the one that you guys have all been waiting to see.

Well thanks to the YouTube thread the only Transformers I want to see is TV-show-length episodes of Dr. Smoov's irreverant voice overs and clever editing. Maybe Adult Swim could pick it up? (I'm guess Hasbro would take a dim view of that proposal.)

Optimus Prime: Gah, fuck me...

Not that uncommon. A lot of the AMCs are here have $6-8 dollar popcorn. But the serving sizes are enormous. I can't imagine each person eating an entire $8 large popcorn.

Although Scry if you and wife did, more power to you, man.

Michael Bay has already stated that he is doing the third one, he just wants more time between 2 and 3 than he had between 1 and 2 because he's burnt out on Transformers right now. Also he needs time to count all his money.

Y'know this movie just makes me excited for Jonah Hex. Neveldine/Taylor do action well, and Fox as a whore? Seriously, that should be the box office breadwinner.

We got popcorn+drink combo for each of us. I guess I should have mentioned that.

Just saw it. The humor in it is really bottom of the barrel... the only people laughing were the 4 or 5 year olds behind us. While the special effects are great, there is so much going on that it is mentally exhausting. The love story was cheesy and distracting. Pacing was bad...

...but fighting robots are cool. I will give it 3/5 stars on my Netflix account.
