Carrier Command - Websites Up

Bohemia Interactive is publishing a Carrier Command remake - Website. Apparently they announced this back in August? I must have missed the press release. The flack makes it sound something like a more dynamic Sci-Fi Armed Assault with resource and supply elements? Here's to hoping.

And even so, it's "only" ~18 months away. I mean, there's still games announced at E3 2005 that's not out yet.

It might be a really tiny hype machine, but it's a hype machine nonetheless. I dunno, I just don't get announcing a game that's not gonna be out for well over a year.

I think there is a difference between hype machine and "building a community".

If the game comes out in two years (18 months + a bit delay) I think it is indeed a bit early for anything more than a website and a forum, I just found your statement a bit exaggerated considering it is only a website so far.

Hate Halo or other nameless super AAA titles and I'm with you though! :P

Depending on how much of the game design they've locked down, building an early community could be an excellent chance to get some early input from gamers. Such as from people who have played the original and might have ideas for doing some things differently.

Respectfully

What's Carrier Command?

STO, both of them, had a webby way long before release.
