Urban Tycoon: City builder for the iPhone!

I dunno about y'all, but this has me excited.

Urban Tycoon in App Store Next Week

It looks like a mix of Sim City and Transport Tycoon, at least upon initial glance. I SO hope it's awesome, as I would play this forever.

Looks interesting but where are you getting the Transport Tycoon vibe?

The look and the name, really. ;) Maybe I'm over-excited. ;)

I'm all for the concept, but the video on the touch arcade site didn't impress me at all; it's like they somehow managed to not include everything that makes a city-building game cool.

I think I'll wait for EA to port SimCity to the iPhone and overcharge for it. (I'm hoping they give it some kind of tweak, and not just port the existing mobile version directly to the iPhone.)

I liked the video, but yeah, if they ported actual SimCity to the iPhone (2000, plz), I'd definitely pay their overpriced fee for it.

It would have to be really bad not to be worth $2!

(1) hate the font, I guess it goes with the "urban" territory.

(2) there sure are a lot of promises about what will come in ver 2. Looks like a "revenue beta."
