It'd be interesting to see yours at some point; you're obviously way above me in the forza car decorating department so I'd like to see what you did differently.
Here's my Autobot logo deconstructed:

I left the left half fit together for reference.

Wonderplug: the deconstructed cars look as good, if not better than the originals in some ways. Very nice. It's almost like watching animation at work as things come together.

Joel: That car does look amazingly good. I can't quite figure out why though. Every time I look at it, its like an optical illusion of some kind, but I can't quite figure out why my brain thinks the car is reflecting something. Its those combination of colors or something.

That one didn't really come together for me until I noticed the license plate.

It's a reference to Tobias Funke (David Cross) from Arrested Development, who, among other quirks, was a "never nude", a syndrome where he was never fully naked, wearing cutoff jean shorts, even in the shower. The wiki link above has a reference to a real syndrome it may possibly be based on, though only loosely I guess.

To clarify, if you're saying "Ok, but why would someone would paint a car like this?" you're not missing anything, it's just a random thing to do. We're laughing because we remember it from the show, not because there's anything additionally funny about it being on a car.

The problem with that is your account would be banned, probably. But if you had something that was easily defendable as a flower or such, then it would be OK.

Perhaps a banana and two kiwis would work?

No, your previous post made me understand. I didn't watch the show enough to catch the "never nude" thing. :)

Here's my latest effort, a Quaife liveried Lotus Cup 240, based on the rallycross livery from DiRT:

I spent way too much time finishing this monstrosity:

Some of the subtler bits like gradient transitions still need some work, though.

I can finally show my car now that it's up on our company blog - http://www.bethblog.com.

Quick answers-
-Yep, did it myself in my free time and no, this wasn't company sponsored.
-Didn't keep strict track of time, but took 15-20 hours. This was my first serious attempt, and drawing outlines is tough :)
-Vault Boy - 291 layers.
-Fallout series logo - 390 layers. (my coloring is very inefficient throughout)
-I want to do a thumbs-up Vault Boy sometime, but right now I never want to look at the painting interface again :)

I've seen one or two. I always save the replay in those games so I can report the user.

This one's still a work in progress:

Not bad! Plus the thread bump gave me a chance to laugh at Ben's Serious Cat car. What a riot.

I heard they added a lot more customization tools in the upcoming Forza, it'll be ineresting to see what new stuff people come up with.

The nasty compression on the images downloaded from the web really hurts when your design is supposed to be clean, simple lines. That said, check out my Fail-whale VW, my first full, if simple, design in Forza 3:

Also, I knew this would happen, but I'm bummed that my Follow button loses all the meticulous detail I put into it at full size once it's scaled down to actual usable size on the car. Rounded corners myself! Working around them with the gradient! Subtle drop shadow! All lost!
