This was one of (I think) 3 Mega 64 videos shown at the GDC awards. The best one is the Mario/Luigi video featuring a cameo from Miyamoto. Great stuff.

I love how how the security guard's telling him he can't take pictures in the mall (presumably due to potential terrorist issues) while someone is videotaping the whole exchange.

Yep...

I forgot ALL about that site until a few weeks ago..

Found it, laughed, and then wondered why they don't do more videos...

I think Mega64 is a SomethingAwful deal, so you tend to see the updates linked there first. I know a lot of people don't care for the humor, but the 10 bucks I dropped there a few years ago has paid for itself over and over due to always having people to play games with online (particularly Battlefield 2 and in Goonfleet), learning about random political stuff in DnD, and of course the occasional epic Let's Play Arcanum thread.

No, mall cops just say that to be dicks.

Then they claim that malls aren't public places.

The Mega64 shorts have always been hit or miss to me, but the one with Miyamoto shown at GDC was an instant classic.

The only truly great Mega64 is Paperboy. There are some other pretty good ones.

The Miyamoto one is the best one by far. Completely unexpected and perfect for the awards at which it was first unveiled.
