Eh.... I wasnt considring it, but I thought it'd be more than $20. Nice price. I might grab it if its a decent port, the newer pc one was a nice update, so if its the same I can't say i wouldnt want to play it on a plane or whatever.

I picked it up today. If you love the PC version, the PSP port is very well done.

I wonder why it's cheaper at EB than everywhere else. This sort of thing always makes me nervous

Wierd. I think IGN gave it a 9.1 or something and it's on my list to get for sure.

(yes, I'm too lazy to go look it up).

Picked it up tonight and put some time in. Never played the new PC version. I've had quite a bit of fun on the apprentice level.

One thing, I don't see any way to put more guns on a ship you already own? The starting sloop has 8 of 12 max cannons, but I haven't come across a way to put more on it.

If it's like the pc version, then the merchant who buys and sells cargo will also have a listing for cannons buy them and they'll be automatically put on the ship for use.

Hmm... haven't ever seen a merchant that sells them. Maybe it's a limitation of playing apprentice.

I read the title as: There's some guys with eye patches on sailing ships, selling stolen PSP's for $20. Thread dissapoints.

What are the loading times like compared to the Xbox? For example, accessing the journal / status pages when at sea.

You can always loot guns from ships you catch. Assuming you don't blast them all off first. Sink the ship and take the guns as cargo.

This is the best $19.99 I've spent in a long time. I'm actually using my PSP now!

Haven't played a game on higher than apprentice yet, so maybe it changes there. So far I've never seen an option to loot/buy additional cannon.

Fun game, got tired of being swarmed with spanish pirate hunters. Not like I ever did anything to earn that 100k+ bounty. Probably should've talked to the abbot and taken him up on his offer.

IIRC, you can never buy cannons. You can only loot them from ships that you've seized. And even then, you probably won't get any cannons if you blow the hell out of the ship first.
