Who are these people in System Shock 2?

The Shocked team http://forums.freylia.net/index.php?topic=166.0 is creating hi-res versions of all the textures in System Shock 2, and are doing a spectacular job so far (see slot machine fruther down). But they've got a real puzzle on their hands as they have some textures that are taken from RL images and they can't indetify them.
This image below is from the stimpacks and they can't figure out who they are. Can you?

UPDATE Image #2 has been identified as Elizabeth Shue.
UPDATE Image #4 is Hicks from Aliens (thanks Russell)!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A smattering of paintings are in SS2 as well, and all but 2 have been indentified. Those they can't match are picture ID #1 and #3
.
.

----------------------------------

The work they've done is impressive. Here's a before and after of a slot machine:

Looks like they're about ~~50% done? http://home.att.net/~shtup/files/shtup_status.zip

Problems with this post

1. Your before and after pictures aren't showing up.

2. Your link about them recruiting is to a zip file.

Their site is too slow. I'll mirror them myself.

Have they tried asking anyone involved with System Shock 2? I doubt these are state secrets.

I'm not sure. Picture #2 is Elizabeth Shue as someone just found out... The pic of #4 looks like James Dean to me...

#3 = Kate Beckinsale?

#1 looks like Data from Star Trek (Brent Spiner), though I never actually watched the show so I'm likely wrong.

#1 does kind of resemble Brent Spiner, but more in the sense that it looks kind of like Data's default facial expression rather than actually looking like Brent Spiner. I'm pretty sure it isn't him. It also kind of resembles John Cusack, but again, not enough that I believe it is him, unless the photo was doctored (the hair, especially, seems off and face too thin).

He/They are asking about all the photographs (minus #2, which has since been confirmed to be Elisabeth Shue), and paintings #1 and 3.

Susanna Hoffs and David Bowie perhaps in the second row of faces?

And maybe one of those ballet-dancer Degas paintings for #1.

#1 looks like a young Bing Crosby -- close enough as to make no difference, in my opinion.

Here's a mid-life picture, the closest I could find. He's smiling in almost all the shots I've seen.

#3 looks like an anchor for one of the 24-hour news networks.

#4 is probably Jason Priestley.

Edit: And painting #3 looks like a section from one of Degas' ballerina pieces.

Clearly, #1 is Tom Chick in his non-beret wearing days.

Angle's not quite right, but it captures those weird squinty eyes and angular chin of his. Man, I never realized what a weird face Luke Perry has.

At the risk of diverting this thread in a more prurient direction, there's also this image, seen in-game up in the Von Braun officer barracks.

You'd think a rough approximation of this shot would be easy enough to find, but thus far my GIS-fu has failed me.

Regarding the photos in the first post, bear in mind that SS2 was released in 1999. It's been suggested that #3 is Nikki Cox (and the in-game name for this character is in fact "Nikki"), but I haven't been able to find a precise match for that shot.

The problem with Luke Perry and the other people #1 kind of looks like is the guy in the picture seems to have a much more prominent "widow's peak" receeded hairline than any of them. I suppose it is possible the hair was doctored, though.

For some reason I did think of Nikki Cox as well when I first saw #3 but when I did an image search I couldn't find a picture that looked like that, all of the ones I could find were more recent pictures in which she looks pretty different (hairwise, etc).

My first guess was picture #1 was Brent Spiner (Data from STNG). But as was mentioned eariler the hairline is wrong and Data's face is much fuller. My next guess was it was a self portrait of Vincent van Gogh since there's shades of his insanity in the game (plus his artwork). But the best pic I could find was (see below). Now portaits of him that aren't so muddy. But a cleaned up artist rendering sans facial hair would appear to look a LOT like him. My third guess is it's Tom Chick. I remember seeing a pic of him from a long time ago when he was quite skinny (though maybe he still is).

Definately not Luke Perry.

Anyone else think Picture #4 is James Dean?

Holy crap, it is Hicks!

Do you have a higher-res version of that? Or know when that scene is?

Heh, reminds me of the character portraits from Baldur's Gate, I think, that obviously used shots of some famous people as their basis.

My wife the Hollywood trivia expert thinks #3 looks like Juliette Lewis.

I'm not sure about that, but it's possible. Here's the closest pic I could find.
