Soldier of Fortune II 1.02 patch

It's still fun, in case anyone was wondering.

I swear, SOF2 is one of the best semi-realistic combat games out there. Infiltration mode ain't exactly rocket science, but the combat has depth and nuance you'll never see in the brainless 300mph all-reflex game that is UT2k3.

SOF2 is also notable as the first popular online multiplayer to truly integrate leaning into the gameplay. After this, not being able to lean in BF1942 feels downright restrictive.

And even though they tended to devolve into chokepoint sniper duels, I had great fun with the large random-gen CTF servers. The jungle maps with lots of brush cover made for quite a few tense moments.

And I do miss that lean in BF1942.

Yeah, I really liked SoF2. I think its 'underrated'. The Colombia levels are some of the best levels I've seen in an fps. As well, I still play some random map action.

Its a pretty good game!
