Integrated Fax server software recommendations.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a fax server application that will tie into existing fax machines and an Exchange server? I've seen the name Rightfax turn up on Google a lot, has anyone ever used it? Thanks in advance for your advice...

We use RightFax at work. It does the job for us, automating outbound fax transmissions and allowing us to poll for completion statuses via its API. The API allows for C and VB app integration, and thus I'm betting the Exchange integration you're looking for is possible to build on your own if it isn't there already. I'm not sure about integrating it with existing fax machines - we don't need to do that here.

The server seems to perform reliably, now that we've gotten the bugs worked out. I will warn you in advance that although the API is fairly well documented, the support is less than stellar - they don't have a phone number for it, and all API questions must be directed through their website message board (they are generally good about answering posts within a day or two).

The company that makes RightFax is Captaris. There's probably some more info at their web page.

I'm not sure about other alternatives, but I've heard Kofax mentioned before.
