I don't know, Batman Beyond did rather well with a teen Batman in High School. ;)

So, the producers apparently want Katie Holmes as the love interest to Christian Bale in this new Batman. Man, Katie is undeniably hot, as anyone with a copy of The Gift and good skills with the pause button well knows. But does everything have to be geared towards the Dawson's Creek generation these days? What's next? Is this going to be a Teen Batman, who dons cape and cowl not because his parents are murdered, but because they ground him after he misses curfew? Will the new Batmobile be mom and dad's minivan? Sheesh. The original Batman smoked a pipe. A pipe, fer chrissakes!

"Who the heck are you?" the robber queried as he was exiting the drugstore he just pillaged.
"I'm Bat-Dawson, I'm here to stop you with my super sized forehead, put down that bag of drugs you evil person. Don't you know drugs are bad for the ever growing Teenage Psych?"
"I did not know that. My mudda and fadda did not love me when i was a child and that is why I do this"
The robber draws a gun to shoot bat-dawson but before he does....
Bat-Dawson Pummles him with his Bat-Forehead. - huge "FOREHEAD" text on screen...Robber goes "Yargh"and falls to the ground. Katie Holmes comes out of no where.
" Wow- Bat-Dawson, you are so brave, but , I am in love with Pace... er..Robin.. I'm... sorry"
.. BA BAH!
Tune in next week, Same Bat time, same Bat Channel..
.. lord.. I hope that doesn't get made
Isn't it semi-based on Batman Year One? Still... Katie Holmes? She's a pretty awful actress isn't she?
She's apparently does a goo job in Pieces of April.Originally Posted by Bub, Andrew

There was a series called "Bruce Wayne" in development hell for a while. It was going to be like Smallville, about the character in his orphaned teenage years, before he donned the suit. Eventually the studio execs decided against it.Originally Posted by Brett Todd
Considering both Bale and Holmes are in their twenties, I'd think it'd appeal to folks.. in their 20's. What's your point again?

So not safe for work.
Thank heavens. I'll admit I like Smallville, but I just can't fathom a pre-Batman Batman working out.Originally Posted by Kyle Wilson

Sometimes, though, she seems pretty talented. Or so says I.
The concept wouldn't really work, IMO. Didn't Bruce Wayne spend his teen years traveling the world learning combat and forensic techniques from the world's masters?
How about a movie starring Katie Holmes and Derek Smart? The two could face off in a love scene in a battle of smirks. It would be fun to see them try to maintain the smirks through a kiss. The camera would zoom in... one of the smirks would begin to slip...
The other pulls away, says "Aha!", and does a victory dance.
... HAHAHAHAH.....HAHAHAH... yer, that'd rock... ahh. i wish Mr Smart was still here to see that.
Actually, that sounds like it would have a ton of potential if done correctly. More of an action/adventure/sleuth show than a Smallville type thing. But much potential.Originally Posted by noun
(I can't handle Smallville. Probably a sure sign that I'm actually beginning to finally get old. Although I still likes me a good sappy teen movie with the rest of them!)
It was actually dropped for Smallville, when they realised that the "Clark in High School" was more appealing than "Bruce Wayne travels the world". They kept the writing team though...Originally Posted by Kyle Wilson
Actually, she keeps doing all these critically-acclaimed indie films and gets praise for her performance in almost every one. I haven't seen the majority of them, but she's been rather good in everything I've seen her in post-Dawson's Creek (which I never actually watched).Originally Posted by Bub, Andrew
Plus, she has that crooked smile thing that is so incredibly hot.
