Apparently was on his way home from a bar and was attacked.This is Damien's sister. If anyone knows anything about what happened to my brother last night please call me xxx-xxx-xxxx. He is on the ventilator in the ICU with bleeding in the brain and multiple face/skull fractures. Any info or bar where he was last night would be helpful.

Oh no. Nothing I can do from here in NJ except send good vibes, but please keep us informed. Damien's always been a smart and supportive presence. His enthusiasm got me into the Warrior Dash 3 years ago which was a big step towards raising my fitness level. Hope he makes it through OK.

Aside from that, we don't have any more information. :(The only thing we do know is the last anyone saw him, he was getting in a cab at 1:20am Friday morning (after kickball) at Knox St Pub, then he was taken to the hospital soon after that, found near Greenville and Ross ave. if you have any information please let me know so I can pass along to his family.

Knox St Pub is almost a dozen blocks from Greenville; lower Greenville (roughly that area) is a well-known heavily trodden bar district. It's very possible he went to another bar/pub there to hang out/meet some one, and was assaulted shortly thereafter.
Lower Greenville is "traditional" Dallas bar district for laypeople and SMU students who can't afford the higher, more expensive, trendy places in Uptown. Some good places, bad places, dives, texmex places, and lots of local residents that hate your very presence.

Update on his status.For those looking for an update: I was just in to visit Damien this afternoon. He is still in a medically induced coma. He was brought out of it twice today to assess his condition. He did squeeze his family member's hand when prompted, but doctor's say that that can often happen with natural reflexes. He and his family are accepting visitors. Studies and stories from other coma patients have show
n visiting, talking and touching can have some therapeutic effects for him while he's in a coma, so go tell him who won the Heisman tonight or what you did this weekend if you find yourself with some time. He's in the Baylor ICU on the 4th floor. Ask a doctor or nurse to lead you back and they will happily. They are still seeking leads in this case, so if you know anything of his whereabouts that evening, please contact the cops.
