Looking at prices, he's probably not kidding. How to make over $2,000 a month selling items!!!
i want to know his secret methods!!!
This method is so great and valuable you can buy it for under $4!
The government doesn't want you to know about his secret Diablo-item techniques, so he's compiled them all in one banned CD!
Heh -- I believe that guy too. The guy wrote himself a nice little advertisement.
All right you assholes, I want to know how to farm items in Diablo 2, not how to make money from my armchair.
Spill the beans!
My pre-1.10 MF tactics were basically ripped from "Flux's MF Baba Guide" on www.diabloii.net.
Get dual ali babas, get a whirlwind+sword barbarian, kill hell mephisto eleventy billion times.
Is there any more to it nowadays?
I thought the current forum whining was that MF was only really workable with a Sorc all tricked out. I have no idea, because I've never gotten to the point where I could just MF my days away to make 2 grand a month and then sell my methods for $4.
Yep. Sorcs are better at it, though, as they can kill naked.Originally Posted by Stroker Ace

To clarify Jason's statement about killing naked, he is refering to a sorceress' ability to load up on high magic find gear without worrying about resistances or damage reduction. Sorceresses can kill from a distance with very powerful skills and their teleport skill is invaluable in blipping from waypoints to the bosses that drop good stuff.Originally Posted by Jason McCullough

I think that guy's MF guide is just for plausible deniability on auctioning items; it's a TOS violation, I think.
Check out this one:

Wow, you have to be pretty hardcore to pay $100 for an in-game item. Reminds me of the people that tried to sell NWN items when it first came out. We were stunned that anyone would actually pay for something they could create themselves in 5 minutes.
When I started my polearm barb, I ended up buying the Hwanin's set on ebay. It was auctioning for a buck and I thought that that was just a no-brainer. But having won the auction, I wouldn't ever do it again: the great thing about Diablo 2 is that almost any item you get can be upgraded to something better, and actually finding all of this stuff is the real thrill of D2. Plus, the set was within a week redundant anyway - I'd just found far better stuff. Plus, Diablo II item selling is inherently shady... although I ended up getting the Hwanin's for a buck, the auction actually went up to 4 because the seller artificially boosted the auction with a dummy bidder. I called him out on it (the guy was obviously a bit of an idiot... he signed his email to me as Hsau Wu, and the bidder who brought the price up was h_wu) and he agreed to sell it to me for a buck as long as I didn't leave negative feedback for him, which I agreed to. All in all, I wouldn't do it again - teenage kids spending all their days mfing are probably not the most reputable of business men, and buying this stuff removes a lot of D2's charm.
