Gene Roddenberry's ghost would have actively haunted the producers, but if they'd set the series in the In a Mirror, Darkly universe from the beginning, Enterprise might have been a success. Dallas-style backstabbing/deception, intense battles as the Empire conquered weak planets, and much more interesting characters would have made for a seriously fun show.

I still halfheartedly believe the Abrams Star Trek reboot will be revealed as the Mirror, Mirror universe three or four films in. More militaristic Starfleet, more violent/brutal Kirk and Spock, etc.

Also, Enterprise-E all the way. The movies sucked, but I really liked the E design.

I loved Star Tek as a kid growing up (TOS), and loved the characters, but the refitted Enterprise is the one I fell in love with. I remember spending hours on end of my youth building that model, painstakingly trying to get the nacelles to stay even. More hrs spent trying to add lighting to it (loved the cutout section on the engineering decks where they had the auditorium (?). I even put up black wallpaper in my room, painted the space dock on it and hung the Enterprise in front of it using fishing wire to replicate my favorite scene of it leaving orbit.

Man, I wanted that model so badly. I had the normal 1701 refit model, and god DAMN if those fucking nacelles weren't a pain in the ass.

1701-A. The refit is amazingly beautiful even today. IMO.

Also, for a bit of fun, there's a fan convention called Vividcon. The focus of Vividcon is fan videos dedicated to various movies and TV shows, with various themes, be they dramatic, romantic, or humorous.

The first night of the convention there's also a nerd dance party called Club Vivid, with, you know, booze and dancing, featuring videos specifically set to dance music playing in the background. These vids are more supposed to be just fun and danceable. This year someone did a sort of overall tribute to space opera shows/spaceships/their crews. I think it's fun.

I had that version too - I was trying to add the lights myself - I remember spending lots of time drilling out that cutout, adding an internal section (so that when it was lit up you could see people inside) and adding a battery pack. It broke my heart when those damn nacelles fell off.

Arboretum, feh. I read deck plans like this in my sleep. :P I carried "Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enteperprise" with me EVERYWHERE. ;)

But mainly, I knew it well before looking it up on the Wiki because I was a big enough Trek geek that I was reading all the articles about the Enterprise redesign in Starlog, et. all, as the movie was being produced and I remember Probert saying that's what the big windows were. (You know, back when you were, what, 3? :)

Also, you'll note that the Wiki says that your silly inconistent non-canon not-really-written-by-Scotty Enterprise guide also confirms it's an arboretum on some other page. And if you take out your TMP Blu-ray, you'll see the trees in the fly-around sequence. Not to mention the Polar Lights 1/350-scale model that includes a detailed arboretum.
