    You know the Nook colour version is changing to Windows 8, right?

    Despite what they said I'd worry about "consistent controls" and such being imposed across the range.
    I personally have a Nook wifi and am very happy with it (I got it on sale, very cheap ^^)...

    I was talking about the e-ink model. I don't have much interest in a 7" tablet. I've got a touchpad running CM9 in my bathroom, and that's where it stays. My non-scheisse tablet needs are basically nonexistant.

    Yea, fair enough - I'm not real interested in a tablet myself.

    As I said I'm concerned that they'll screw with the interface of the non-W8 versions anyway.

    Amazon ran a 40% off the basic kindle if you have an Amazon Visa card. So I grabbed one for <$50. I assume that's another sign new kindles are imminent, but we've been wanting a second one anyway.
