Whew, sorry I couldn't take hardly any turns today, surprisingly brutal day at work. But that I'm on the other side of the bar with a beer in one hand and my phone in the other, I'm ready to finish this thing.
You are having a busy day! :) p.s. Could you stop freezing my dudes.

Our schedules didn't jive! You'll probably kill me this turn by stealing my magic, freezing me, and rolling Fury several times. And that will sum up this horrifying game!
But if you don't.. why, then, who knows! Delicious anticipation.
Yea, yesterday was a busy one for me but, shockingly, I didn't just kill you, so game on.
Whoa! I, I, I, I, I'm still ali-i-i-ive..
The August league has begun!
So I used a Chant of Haste to skeedaddle over to the left-hand corner, whereupon I summoned an Archer, bumped his power up with my Summoner, and expected to kill the Smasher through Vincent's champion. Everything worked great except for how, in typical Dave-playing-Summoner fashion, I somehow thought that my archer would get to fire twice, and would kill the Smasher this turn. Cuz don't Archers all get to fire twice against Sluggish opponents?
Herp a derp! hurrrrrrp
Gringokidd defeats Justin fletcher. Orcs versus jungle elves
tooler (Dwarves) over RainRaven (Cave Goblins). You left your summoner exposed for a quick strike!
Gringokidd (goblins) defeats Hadrosauron (cloaks). Nice close game.
It's funny to see our game from your view, Dave. That's, like, the opposite of how I see it!
I think we're getting down to the wire, but it was funny to see my dice-rolling luck come back in a game where I've had such great luck with my draw order. Sigh, only I can consistently miss with two dice. Overall I think it's been a really fun game just due to the situations I've been playing it in. Yesterday I managed to sneak in a couple of turns during work, then today I got some in during a renaissance festival before my phone totally lost it's internet connection (they didn't have wireless internet back in medieval times, so it made sense).
And it's over! I have defeated Dave in what could only be described as an epic showdown between good and evil. Light and dark. Black and white. Of course, the question remains, which factions souls harbored the light, and which simmered in the darkness? Only the summoners truly know...
Great job! It was fun trying to survive as long as possible. If I'd gone 5 for 5 on my last rolls..
Did you hold your breath when making your last roll?
I can't make it all pretty until tomorrow, but:
Hereafter plays Derbain
Boojum plays Vincent
Higher seeds can pick a team or require the lower to pick.
Oh yea, I was nervous making that last roll, I figured it seemed crazy unlikely that I would roll two misses again, but I've learned to plan for the worst.
It was a fun game because until I actually killed you, I couldn't feel too secure. I knew I was in a good position, but the jungle elves can do some really tricky things.
Excited about the playoffs!
Boojum still needs to decide if he'll pick his team, or ask Vincent to pick.Code:Semifinals [1] Hereafter [4] Derbain [2] Boojum [3] Vincent19
hereafter def derbain
Good game Derbain! Everyone gets caught off guard by the firebeast mid battle summon.
Was pretty brutal. I think I should have been more aggressive in discarding cards in my hand so I could have gotten Gror out! And damn I wish I'd had a couple of heroic feats in my hand when I popped that ballista out on you.
Because they are, without question, my boys, I pick the Dwarves.
Let's do this!
Phew. Hadrosauron (Vanguards) defeats Mageical (Dwarves) in one of the tensest matches I've played yet.
My attempt at a defensive posture backfired thanks to repeated Mana Drains and Reinforcements, followed by Gror to smash through it anyway. My summoner was down to her last hit point by the time I had narrowly fended off two dwarf champions before drawing a single one of my own, but when the dust settled I was left with more cards than Mageical when it was time to go on the counteroffensive. I managed to play keepaway while plinking away at Baldar, and Raechel Loveguard exacerbated the resource advantage by forcing a discard, and our remaining commons finished each other off.
Finally, with five mana and no cards left except a single six-cost champion (Colleen Brighton, whose common-shielding power was useless under the circumstances), I was out of maneuvering room and had to pray and roll the dice with a 2-power attack on Baldar with my summoner. A miss would have almost certainly ended the game, but the 4/9 chance came through, killing him and letting me summon my champion. This left the board with me having Colleen and a wounded vanguard knight (soon killed) and Mageical with just his (unwounded) summoner and a spearman, and from there it was all about taking turns throwing two dice at each other, with a quick break for my champion to take out the spearman, netting the point of mana my summoner needed to heal the champion back out of danger.
Great game!
It's better than nothing. Honestly, though I think the game works best with blind challenges, where you have to customize your decks to take on all possible opponents rather than picking and choosing.

Hey Boojum, I was thinking of picking the Phoenix Elves unless you want them. Let me know and I'll send a challenge!
Okay challenge sent your way!
Hereafter def Boojum using the Phoenix Elves
Boojum is much better at me in describing matches so I'll leave it to him. But I think the match turned when I starved his eater. Good game!
