    tooler (Dwarves) defeats MNGwinn (Cloaks). I see now that having so many champion cards clogging up my deck is like an albatross around my neck. Chris probably did me a favor banishing one of them. Sorry for overreacting.

    This one was down to another fortunate quick strike against the summoner: summon ranged champion to my wall, play +2 attack event, move and attack for 5 out of 5 damage.

    I'm definitely taking advantage of some good luck here, but I'm not over the learning curve yet either.

    Here is what people have chosen:

    Hereafter = Phoenix Elves
    Boojum = Cave Goblins
    Dave Perkins = Cloaks
    Mark L = Fallen Kingdom
    deForrestation = Jungle Elves

    Vesper is about to pick one of these, but there are two spots left! PM me if you're interested, and it's first come, first served.

    ??? = Guild Dwarves
    ??? = Tundra Orcs
    ??? = Vanguards
    I'm going to have some free time in the next couple of weeks and I don't mind playing Vanguard. Sign me up.

You may not have known about Baldur's special power (only takes wounds if all the dice hit). It would've been safer to put the Guardian Knight in front I guess.

    I see your rematch now. I'm happy to accept.
    I knew about Baldur but temporarily forgot! And kind of rushed my turn because I was distracted. Dumb. Oh, well, good game.

    Someone forfeited against me but i didnt see who so technically I do have a win!

    Argghh! I'm so mad. In my current game I had two goblin units that could have gotten adjacent to the summoner with the Goblin Rush card, I played it but must have skipped it somehow. Now Prince Elien is running around with one health and army between us. GRRRR.

    Edit: and now I'm dead. Good game though Lord Pall!

    Boojum, I picked Jungle Elves, let me know if it's going to be a mirror match and I'll change it!

    Nope, I'm still trying to get my first win with the Cloaks, so we're clear.

    Cloaks are my fav thematically, but they really feel like one of the harder ones to win with unless EVERYTHING falls into place. get an early spy, a few open lanes for a thief raid and a champ at a good time and it can feel like a gimme sometimes.

    The Cloaks are too brainy for. I leave it for the real masterminds like David, Harkonis and you.

    Have you tried putting in 1 or 2 owls? Or adding Magos? That will help you with your drawing ability.

    Hadrosauron (Cloaks) defeats Thenafter (Jungle Elves).

    The dice really went my way in the first two turns, and I was able to press that advantage into the win.

    And with that, I've notched at least one win with each race, which is worth [checks first post] nothing at all.

    Side tournament Summoner Wars - Puddles of Blood is now accepting entrants! If you want to play, PM me your Game Center name and what race you want to play.

    From the FAQ:

    Q: How does the tournament work?
    A: Everyone will be randomized into a list until no consecutive players are using the same race. Then each player will play the person immediately above and below in the list. If a player loses both of these games, that's it not only for that player but also for everyone else who is using the same race.
    We have overflowed into some races having two players at this point (yay!), so please continue to PM me with your race choice if you want to play!

    	        Fallen Kingdom
    Boojum        	Goblins
    Vesper        	Goblins
    deForrestation	Jungle Elves
    	        Jungle Elves

    Everyone got his or her first choice, I believe, except for Lord_Pall. LP, would you mind filling in one of the spots that is blank? (That is, pick Fallen Kingdoms, Jungle Elves, or Phoenix Elves.)

    And are there two more players who might want to fill out our ranks before we start?

    I counted up current scores of those who appear close to advancing to the playoffs, and post them here for the edification of all:

    Code:
    25 Hereafter
    11 Vincent
     9 Boojum
     8 Me
     7 Derbain
     6 Mark_L
    Bonuses could radically change that list, however. For example, a single win by Derbain with a new race will give him a +5 bonus, and put him up in second place.

    Yup. Attention had wandered. Also, discouraged by mistakes, like tapping my Fire Beast to see what it does, and accidentally triggering its special effect, which was to hit itself, and none of your units. I hate that about this game. A frigging popup would be nice from time to time. "Are you sure that you want to be a stupid jackass?"

    I do think those type of abilities need a confirmation. It might not be a big problem on the iPad but it certainly is on the phone

    NEVER HAS A GAME MADE ME FEEL MORE STUPID

    deF is swarming me, desperately, with Shamans. I have no magic points, but I do have a Lioness and a champion defending. I attack with the Lioness first, and she hits her Shaman for one. Then I shoot with my champion, who kills her Shaman,

    THUS PUTTING A CARD IN MY MAGIC PILE

    Which I could then have used to bump my Lioness up by one die.

    BUT NO NOW I CANNOT BECAUSE I DID IT BACKWARDS LIKE AN ASSHAT

    I actually slapped myself.

    Now to see if deF's Shaman made me pay.
