I thought that natural born citizenship was only bestowed to babies born on foreign soil if both parents were natural born citizens. So, regardless of the father's status, if the mother isn't a citizen, it doesn't matter.

If we all get started right now, we could pay off the $1.5 trillion the U.S. owes to China by the end of the summer. Incorrect. The birfer controversy depended on a loophole that is no longer valid: if only one parent was a US citizen, they had to be of majority age. We've lowered that to 18, as well as removing the majority requirement at all.
