I thought Bucky was wearing the suit now.
After Captain America got shot some years ago I fell into a comic book depression and did not follow Marvel much. After reading the first 2 issues of A vs X I was pretty sure that the guy inside The Cap uniform was one of the Replacement Caps...like the Replacement Supermen...less super. But the guys in my local comic book shop assure me that is Steve Rogers. But...Cap would never do what he is doing. Kidnap a teen age girl? Cap? Oppress a minority, mutants? Cap? Nooooo...Cap would Never do that. Not even a bullet in the brain Cap. Soooo...that is not Cap. The guy in the Red White and Blue is a Stark robot covered in Cap meat to fool Wolverine. Stark must die! That is all.
I thought Bucky was wearing the suit now.
Thats why we are mortal.
To stop us from live long enough to do everything we hate.
I thought so too but the owners of the comic shop I go to said that it is Steve Rogers. I kinda hate when dead supers come back to life. God, I hopes it's Bucky...the little prick.
Nope, it's a Cap Bot. A stinkin' Stark Industries skin job. Stark must die.

I think Iron Man stated later in this issue that last time they were on opposite sides of this issue didn't he?
Steve Rogers came back from the dead not long after he was actually killed, but he didn't immediately resume service as Captain America. For a while he was "Cap'n Steve," and then he was the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., but the latest development in that regard had him putting the suit back on again. Bucky, in the meanwhile, had been serving as Captain America while he was out, but he was recently killed (not really).
Is this a new version of Avengers vs. X-Men? Because I remember a four-issue miniseries of this from back when I was a kid.
The artwork in that clip above doesn't look up to what I think of as modern standards, but that looks like a modern IM suit.
So I'm confused.
That's John Romita Jr's artwork. Just his throwback style.
I actually didn't like his work on the Amazing Spider-man books, and was bummed when he took over one of the Avengers books I liked (I forget which one - New Avengers, maybe?) and I was DOUBLY bummed that they used HIS work for this big Avengers vs. X-men thing because Marvel (frankly) has much more talented artists they could have used. Ah well.
Haters. JR Jr.'s art is one of the great pleasures in comics.
Yeah, JRJR is a lot of fun.
I just don't see it. That artwork looks like crap to me.
