Quinn's has some good stuff, but it's still not cheap compared to burgers or brats.

It's also in Capitol Hill. And Quinn's can get REALLY LOUD.

And depending on the weekend you get the vivisection truck parked outside protesting foie gras or whatever it is they're protesting these days. Which only makes me want to go inside and eat bone marrow on toast even more.

Blue Moon does close early, forgot about that. Wurst Place is open until 11 but I think they stop serving food at 9.

This is a Tuesday night, so hopefully there will be no protesters, but is there an alternative, just in case?

A million places in Capitol Hill, but all will be loud and/or expensive. I'd still recommend Wurst Place since it's walking distance from where you'd be staying AND there's plenty of street parking in that area after 6pm for those driving in.

    And root beer on tap!

Could use The Garage for a backup in Capitol Hill. Has beer, pool, bowling and shouldn't be crazy packed on a Tuesday night. Can't speak for the food though.

Alright, the last panel at SMX Advanced ends at 4:45, how much time would folks need to get to Wurst Place on a weeknight? Is six a reasonable time, or is seven better? We meet there, and if it's crazy, we all head to The Garage?

Just saw this thread - that date/time works for me. I look forward to discussing how the best games ever made are Imperium Galactica 2 and Freespace 2 with you.

7 at Wurst Place works for me. And the Garage is definitely fun if we want to keep Brian out late. Sounds good!

Brian, I should invite my non-Qt3 coworker whose Facebook profile at one time had him actually wearing a Nathan Fillion-autographed browncoat that had been used on the show.... I think you guys might get along.

I found this article about the Wurst Place in last week's Stranger and figured it might be useful info. Cheers!

Why do I want to go to a specific place for sausage? Can't you basically get it anywhere?

    1) Capitol Hill is Seattle's defacto queer district.
    2) Look who posted.
    3) Arrive at your own conclusions.

    :)

One doesn't have to be "queer" to enjoy some sausage now and again. It goes particularly well with a tossed salad.

This is true of anywhere in Seattle, though...

Even though I only have a few hundred posts to my name, can I come by? I just started work a few blocks from The Wurst Place and have met Repoman and Denny before at PAX (briefly). Too close to pass up meeting my fellow Qt3 brethren.

edit: actually Tim and merryprankster were there at the PAX shindig as well, now that i think about it.

I'll be there. Probably illegal to bring a chicken though.
