Well, I just finished it. The combat was pretty good. I'm not good at remembering many different combos so I tend to stick to the same things. The environmental aspects were fun.
The one thing I don't like about these 'open world' games is that they tend to have too many tedious activities in them. Driving or running around is boring to me. If I want to drive I'll play a driving game that does it better. Lots of tedious parts to missions too - drive to the store to pick up a suit.
The story kept me playing through to the end. I wish they let the player affect the story, such as choosing who to be loyal to. Do you sleep with the other guy's girlfriend or choose not to? They make the choice for you.
I can't imagine taking the time to do the face quests. I gave up doing them and the copy quests about 33% of the way through. I never would have made it to the end of the story without quitting, but even so there was quite a bit of gameplay there.
To be fair I'm not a big fan of these games. Didn't like GTA, Just Cause 2and probably more. I did enjoy Saints Row: The Third and would recommend that one over this for the sheer lunacy of it. Sleeping Dogs would come in behind SR3 for me, but better than the other two. I did prefer the combat in Batman Arcane Asylum though.
