    Oblivion 5th Anniversary edition.

I'd be interested in this if it contains everything officially released for this game - including all DLC. Does it? That's my question. Looking at the contents description it does not mention any DLC. If that's the case this release is stupid and a money grab. The Steam complete edition has it all, so I already have it. You'd think something like this would contain everything official. I mean, does it have the horse armor? :P

    Quoting a verified purchase review:

The Oblivion 5th Anniversary Collection is great for Oblivion fans and new comers alike. The Steelbook is beautiful and makes a great collectors item for all the Elder Scrolls fans out there and this package includes Knights of Nine + The Shivering Isles making a complete TES IV experience. There are two issues with this collection though.

    1. The $10 Skyrim Cupon is only good if you purchase Skyrim for $59.99 and get a strategy guide on the same receipt.
    2. This collection does not come with any of the plug ins such as Mehrunes Razor, Horse Armor, and the many extra houses that were optional DLC for the 360 and PC.

That sounds terrible. Especially the $10 coupon thing. And a 5th Year Anniversary for a game? How pretentious can you get?

If they re-released Morrowind with the Skyrim engine, there might not be an upper limit to how much I'd be willing to pay.

(yes, yes, i know that it's not that simple. i'm just talkin' about desire.)

It's prettty clear if you read the link that particular package was a limited run thing, so part of what you are paying for is that. But why they didn't include everything is a good question.

It is, although very very little of the omitted content is worth bothering with.

Isn't someone working on modding Morrowind into Skyrim?

I wouldn't be entirely surprised, but as far as I know you're thinking of the Morrowind-to-Oblivion project, which continues to seem like a whole lot of work to no real purpose to me. If Oblivion's engine were a straight upgrade, maybe, but you can get Morrowind looking almost as good if not better with some modding, and Morrowind's gameplay is significantly more open and flexible.

Oh man, 5 years ago I was sitting on a Paris metro looking at a guy with a copy of Oblivion (or Le Oblivion as it was known), and, just for a moment, feeling jealous as I was a long way from home and it would be a long time until I could play it as well. Then I realised I was freaking 'living life' instead of playing games so I better shut the hell up and enjoy it. Now I just play games and I think about that day on the train every now and then.

You've come full circle. From now there is only death.
