Hey, is Steam's daily deal not showing up, or is it just me?

Alright, thanks!
Wish I had a dollar for every time Magika is on sale somewhere.
Hey FUCK YOU Settlers 7 is $7.50 on Impulse/Gamestop!
Gonna want to check your vid cards against this compatibility list:
Supported Video Cards at Time of Release:
NVIDIAŽ GeForceŽ 7900 / 8 / 9 / GT / GTS / GTX series
ATIŽ RadeonŽ X1900 / HD 2000 / HD 3000 / HD 4000 / HD 5000 series
Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported. These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game. For the most up-to-date minimum requirement listings, please visit the FAQ for this game on our support website at: http://support.ubi.com.
First thing I bought from gg -- FIRST GAME -- was Anno 1404, and it didn't come with a working key. I spent three days emailing and tweeting GG, with no response. I finally contacted my credit card and did a chargeback.
I will never deal with them again because of this. Steam works. Impulse works. These guys? I have no idea because their customer support is completely lacking, first of all, and their product doesn't work either, as far as I can see. Your mileage may vary, but if it were me, I'd contact the credit card company and forget about it.
On the flip side, I have purchased dozens of games from them, many at excellent discounts, and I have a permanent 15% discount on -everything- there because of some weirdass deal they have with IGN and they refund small amounts of store credit on every purchase. Never had a problem. They're not Steam, but I think they're the digital distributor I'd be next most likely to buy from.
I've bought Gratuitous Tank Battles, Majesty HD and Magicka from them and they've worked out. But... even though google says it is reputable, I give a huge long lear at the moneybookers CC payment option every time I use it (actually seems the least shit option GG has?) and this time it's properly fucked up, and does not seem to be communicating properly with GG.
As far as my card company is concerned - there was no cancellation and it's still stuck awaiting authorisation, also, no info on it showing up on my online bank so I have to talk to a puny human to sort it out. +15 hours to get a response out of GG the first time and another +12 and counting waiting for a response to the last email with info from my CC. Probably would take as long to get a response from anyone else doing DD games but the difference is nobody else has fucked up like this for me yet.
I have always used PayPal when dealing with GamersGate and I have never had a problem getting what I paid for.
I'm sure if you just ask them nicely then they'll resolve to problem. No need to go nuclear.
I am not having much luck with their support. Here is the last mail I got from them (in its entirety):
Um ... OK. How about no.I think they are a Moneybookers then, any chance you can contact them on this?
As I understand it, if you use Moneybookers then they're the ones that take your money and forward it to the approriate individual/merchant. Assuming that's correct, if GG hasn't received payment (as it was declined) then that means it's being held by Moneybookers. Directing you there makes sense.
Let's put it this way: it seems like every one of the digital distro systems has shitheads manning customer service. The tale of woe above is about GG, but I can add my own two cents about D2D (back when it was D2D). Had some minor issue about a download being screwed up, clearly entered a problem statement, and, 48 hours later, got an obviously-canned response that was nowhere near related to my issue. Those CS folks basically were good at resetting product keys -- usually -- and little else.
TL;DR: digital distro endpoints -- Steam, GG, GameFly, whatever -- are awesome until they aren't. And then they really suck.
Gamefly's $5 Friday:
Far Cry 2
Condemned
Bully
Split/Second
Crayon Physics Deluxe
Lots of great games, there!
Also, a sale on violent EA games. Highlights include Bulletstorm and Saboteur for $6 each.
Well it's hard to work out what the "they are a moneybookers" means because they never really go into who they are or quote anything I sent them (the transaction/auth codes/etc they said they couldn't get). And in any case the issue is that having been declined (despite holding funds pending), the cancellation of the transaction from GG's side has not been transmitted to moneybookers - even if they did get payment authorisation to unlock the pending transfer money, it would be authorised for a cancelled transaction I can't restart on GG's end.
Basically my problem here is that I have tried to be nice and not ripped the money out through my own bank ASAP on encountering a problem and it has gotten me absolutely nowhere. I really should have done that! GG's people are no help in resolving an issue with their payment gateway with their payment provider and I have a feeling it will now be something like 5 days total to resolve a trivially simple problem.
GMG has FEAR 3 for $5, but you can get that down to about $3 with the code PCGMR-GREEN-SUMMR.
Unlocks on Steam.
True enough - I'm sorry if it seems like I was apologizing for GG's lack of helpfulness, as that's quite apparent if that's the only communication you've had from them. I was just trying to be helpful in getting your money back. Here's their contact info.
No no prob :) I didn't mean to shit up the thread or anything either. It's just annoying! At this rate the transaction pending status will probably time out before I get any useful response out of anyone.
My one issue with Gamersgate is that it's counted as a foreign transaction by my bank no matter what payment option I use, so I get a surcharge (it's less than blue coins that I get, so using the service is still ok, and they're not Steam so that's another bonus) It's about 1%.
I wish they'd have an American payment option like the other DD services.
There's no GG surcharge if you use Paypal.
Anno 2070 is $25 on Impulse/Gamestop
Kingdoms of Aramlour (?): Reckoning is $20 on GamersGate. Lots of action games on sale there too (Syndicate $12, Lost Planet 2 $10, Dead Rising 2 $10, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory $4, etc.)

I am reassured to hear that I am not alone in having the payment currency of my GamersGate orders changed to GB pounds by Moneybookers. As others have mentioned, using Paypal instead is a workaround which lets me pay in the currency I expect.
Other than that, I am a happy GG customer. The few times I needed some support they were responsive enough. I really like the fact the IGN discount and the blue coin rebate means every purchase from GG has an automatic 20% discount off the bat.
But as usual, the Kingdoms of Amalur DLC is -not- on sale. This, more than anything, is what I hate about DLC. If the price of DLC dropped over time and could be relied on to be discounted along with the main game during sales, it wouldn't be that big a deal. Instead, you get DLC that ends up costing as much or more as the game it's for.
