And it was fun too! I will totally buy the bus simulator if they add zombies.

In case anyone missed this, Amazon is matching Steam's price for the digitally distributed version of Max Payne 3 (PC) today ($29.99).

Yakuza 4 is $14.99 at Newegg with free shipping. Get it now.

Also White Knight Chronicles 2 is $15.99. Remember, it comes with the first game as well.

Oh, and Catherine "Love is Over" Deluxe Edition is $50 new at Amazon.

Some old QT3 favorites are in the Steam sale:
Sacrifice is 1/2 off ($4.99) and all three Kohnas are $4.99 (or $2.49 each) until July 23.

Me 'n a bud have put in probably 20+ hours on Kohan: Ahriman's Gift the last two weeks playing against the AI in comp-stomps (Comp stomped in the case of our games against the AI's of Ahsater and Retasha).

For any of you RTS fans, you really owe it to yourselves to try out Kohan; at least skirmish mode against the AI. Forget the campaign.....

For those who are new to Kohan, which one should I play or start with?

I played them in chronological order, Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns first followed by Kohan: Ahriman's Gift. I haven't gotten around to playing Kohan II: Kings of War yet.

Too many games and not enough time.

Definitely don't play Immortal Sovereigns; it's completely replaced by Ahriman's Gift. Both Ahriman's Gift and Kings of War are fine. I'd probably start with AG.

Green Mn Games' winter sale includes Patrician III for £1.74 (approx. $3.00 US), which is a snip for what is still probably the best historical trading game ever.

As part of their winter sale, Greenman Gaming is offering To The Moon for $9. If you got a 20% coupon for downloading one of the free Hacker games, that goes to $7. If you trade in the free Commandos 3 they offered for $2, it goes down to $5. Cheapest I've seen it.

(Obviously you can do this for other games, too.)

Fallout New Vegas has hit the Steam flash sale. For the next ~2.5 hours it is $4.99 or $9.99 for Ultimate with all DLC. I noticed Fallout 3 GOTY is also going for $4.99 including all DLC, not sure if that is part of the flash sale or it was already 75% off as part of the normal sale. I was waiting for those, lucky to catch them because I haven't been following all of the flash sales.

When I played the Kohan series I actually began with Ahriman's Gift (AG), and I'd suggest starting with Immortal Sovereigns (IS). Much gentler learning curve if memory serves.

If you're interested in the campaign storylines, I'd say it plays best starting with IS and then following up with AG. AG is a prequel, but the plots, events, characters, and so on make more sense by playing IS first.

For just random skirmish maps? AG. Check out the AI scripts for download too. Fun little additions.

IS has a gentler learning curve, but AG is the best in the series, FYI.

Ah, one thing I'll always love about GamersGate is the quirky European stuff that they sell. I've gotten many less-known space games from there (Parkan II was my first purchase), but I also love some of the wacky sims they sell, such as:

    Agricultural Simulator 2012
    Woodcutter Simulator 2012
    Port Simulator 2012 - Hamburg
    Ski-World Simulator 2012
    Mining and Tunneling Simulator
    Crane Simulator 2009

I would never buy any of these, but I kinda love that they exist at all.

I got my "ahss" handed to me last night by the Ahsater AI. Retasha and Kryzzr are both excellent AI's, also. Try "Rowsby Woof" if you are feeling particularly plucky....'though I recommend you play Royalists for reasons you'll soon discover (woof! woof!).

My gaming group plays a LOT of Kohan in Skirmish Mode Comp-Stomp. Good Times.

Easily the best RTS we've ever played....

Steam has Orcs Must Die 2 for pre-sale at 10% off ($13.49) on their main page. I rarely pre-order anything, but I loved the first so much that this is a no brainer for me.

Yeah, I'm thinking about getting Secret World for 20% off. It's $50 on GMG so I should be able to buy it for $40. The code is good until the end of July so I'll wait and see what state the game is in then.
