Until May 15, Alan Wake is on GoG for $14.99. $29.99 thereafter.
Anyone seen Skyrim for XBOX cheap lately? I have a copy, but my two year old decided to bite the f'ing disc, and now the XBOX doesn't recognize the game anymore. I'd hate to spend $50+ on a game I already own.

Good deal! I heard that American Nightmare is coming for PC soon too, looking forward to it. Alan Wake is definitely not for everyone (very repetitive, very silly) but I had a lot of fun with it.
Also, just to clarify, I wasn't being a negative nelly on Splinter Cell: Conviction. I actually liked the new gameplay a lot. I just personally couldn't stand the bad guy banter/taunts. If I could turn that off, I'd totally get the game again, since I really liked the changes they made to the core gameplay of the series.
I agree, the taunts are absurd. I was able to tune them out. This is required reading. Also this.
"Watch your back, guys - it looks like we might have a hostile. His name might be... fucking Fisher!"
FEAR 3 for $5 on Gamefly. Steamworks.
Portal 2 is $6.70 on Steam.
Alan Wake's American Nightmare available for pre-order on Steam, 15% off for current Alan Wake owners, 10% off ($13.50) for everyone else. No release date.

As did Steam.
Solid but forgettable shooter, has some nice combat scenarios that are more challenging than your usual "rush forward to stop spawns" mechanic. Both FEAR 2 & 3 have mech sections; neither is very exciting. All three FEARs pretty much play out the same, except that FEAR 3 is supposed to be cool when played co-op.
I put it on the level of Raven's Singularity, which I also enjoyed.
sweet.... was waiting for a nice price for Portal 2 - snagged it last night.
Sword of the Stars II - $7.50, its finally at a price that is worth purchasing.
It's Steamworks, so don't fret about the source. That does take $7.50 away from money you could be using for Endless Space, though...
The "all clear" patch is expected at the end of the month, and it has already progressed by leaps and bounds from where it was way back when it "released"/entered public alpha testing. If you have an interest in the genre and enjoyed the first game, I would buy at that price without any hesitation and then wait for a few weeks to play.
It's pretty sad that "fixed" comes around the same time everyone is selling the game for $bargain. I was never a rabid fan of SOTS1, so I really don't have a dog in the fight, but its a shame that SOTS2 didn't build upon SOTS1+Expansions promise right out of the game. Kerberos seemed to deserve better.
We like free right?

To celebrate their 20th Anniversary, Epic released a 20-track compilation of music from their games.
No OMF? Fail.
It's been upped to $15, actually.
Steam this weekend: FREE WEEKEND for Tropico 4 (?!) + Cheap Company of Heroes ($10 for everything)
It's a free weekend; edited original post to clarify.
Yeah, the base game is TWO FRIGGIN' DOLLARS, making it the best entertainment-to-cost purchase you'll probably be able to make all month.
Yeah, I think I'll be gifting that to all of my friends that don't have it yet.
