Also has that Rise of Flight Iron Cross edition for $10.
Which is this. $10 for Dragon Age Origins, Awakening, and 2, on Amazon.
Also has that Rise of Flight Iron Cross edition for $10.
Fallout 1 is free on gog.com for the next 48 hours.
Indie Royale is doing the April Fools Bundle. It contains:
Defense Grid (plus some map packs, I think)
Hack Slash Loot
Alien Zombie Megadeath
Astro Tripper
Explodemon
I got it mainly for Defense Grid. I'm hoping they'll throw in the Portal DLC as a bonus. I don't really know anything about the other games, but Explodemon looks kind of fun.
Yes, and yes. The AI is pretty good (Will occasionally fuck up but is mostly on the ball and is a good opponent) and the game has a tutorial for Magic newbies. Couldn't really tell you the quality of the tutorial since I never looked at it though.
I'm enjoying how Operation Matriarchy, in the Amazon sale, has the two tags "offensive" and "dworkin".
A planet-wide epidemic caused by an extraterrestrial virus totally changed all women of the planet of Velian. Their bodies transformed to become parts of collective intelligence, presumably controlled by some non-humanoid creatures. The society became now a kind of matriarchal hive. Now the Velian population are threatening the very existence of the human race.
Beamdog is having a sale, which includes The Precursors and Xenus 2: White Gold. The upside of buying those game on Beamdog, rather than Gamersgate or elsewhere, is that you get free access to the improvement packs, which are otherwise rather tedious to find, download and install.
So...are either of those games any good?
I haven't actually played Xenus 2, but I'm considering picking it up, now that it's on sale. Precursors is actually very good, in my opinion, although it does have some flaws. It's also huge, and I still haven't completed it (I'm only on the second planet, actually).
How do you find out if a game on Amazon will work on Steam? For let's say, Crusader Kings 2 and Rise of Flight?

This post details the amazon deals (including if games activate on steam/origin). Rise of flight, according to it, does not activate ons team.
Precursors is worth picking up. I think you'd fit it into the East European tradition of flawed genius...
Far as I can tell, the Gold pacakge is everything released for DotP 2012, except for the 'unlocks' of cards (stuff you can earn in-game anyway), and the foil cards (cosmetic, and generally told not to get anyway, because you can't turn it off once applied).
According to the forums though, DotP 2013 is on the horizon likely meaning this is the last hurrah for the 2012 version (ie., no more decks/patches).
I found both the original Planeswalker and the new Planeswalker 2012 to be excellent value for money. I can't wait for the 2013 version.
The main disappointment is that you can't create fully customized decks, but thats a restriction that Wizards placed on the game developers. Also disappointing that the AI has not been taught how to use the additional "Deck Pack" decks, so you can only play with them, not against them (except online).
The Saboteur is $4.99, well worth that price!

I am pretty sure they eventually fixed the ATI thing as I remember commenting about how stupid it was that a game not work on basically half the systems on release. Not sure on the quad core thing.
I am using an Intel i5-2400 quad core (although I am using a GeForce gfx card) and had no problems. Also it was really fun.
la noire: $5. worth it?
Maybe at $3-4, dunno about $5 though.
only at $4.99. $5? too much.
LA Noire is great.
Yeah, I had heard mixed things about LA Noire, but I'm really bored right now so I figured it was worth trying for $5. I played it for 5 hours straight last night, it's really fun.
It does sort of "play itself" in that I'm apparently the worlds greatest detective even though for my first five cases I had absolutely no idea how to tell when someone was lying. I'm finally getting the hang of it now, though.
I also like LA Noire, got it for $15 over the winter sale, the shooty bits are so-so , the cover system is just horrible for some reason... but the investigation and talking bits are fun. And the cases are interesting.
I am surprised I like it as much as I do. :)
Sadly the city feels useless, and very non-interactive.
I gave up on KB+M play, and switched to a 360 controller, its helped with the driving and shooting .
I tried out Darkness II last night. That game is pretty fantastic so far. I was a big fan of the first one too. Well worth 12.49, I'd say.
