The DLC is not worth that.

    Eat me, Greenmangaming.

Sorry, the e-mail address registered with Green Man Gaming does not match your PayPal e-mail address. To be able to pay via PayPal, please change the e-mail address in your GMG account settings to the PRIMARY e-mail address have registered with PayPal. You can set your GMG e-mail address on the account settings page.
Since I use gmail I'm able to append +sitename to my email addresses (mainly to manage spam), and for this reason it annoys me that Greenman would demand I change my either of my email addresses (I'm registered as +greenman at one, and +paypal at the other) to something they like, instead of allowing me to follow my own protocol.

This, although it should be mentioned that Clash of Heroes uses an entirely different gameplay mechanic. It is the only RPG-puzzle hybrid to come close to the quality of the original PQ, IMO.

Folks, there's a pretty good sized sale going on Xbox Live right now for various downloadable content. For what it's worth, I picked up the Severed DLC for Dead Space 2 for 280 points, I think that's about $2.50.

Still not Lair of the Shadow Broker. Apparently it was on sale in July and I managed to not notice.

In typical MS fashion, it is nearly impossible to find this on the website, but through a link on Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/01/03/bi...ive-this-week/), I found the list (on two separate pages, of course):

    http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Pr.../Special-Sales

Amazon has the download version of Anno 2070 for $37.49.

The Deluxe Version is $41.24, and includes some bonus units, some soundtracks,a tech tree poster and a 152 page artwork book. For $3 and change that stuff may actually be worthwhile.

I know many were hoping for this one on a Steam sale, myself included. Probably gonna bite at this price.

I downloaded the Gattling Gears demo try it out. Should I also download the Deathspank demo again too, now that it's cheaper I wonder? I originally downloaded the Deathspank demo when it came out and I remember my reaction being: "Wow, Ron Gilbert is no Tim Shafer. This stuff just isn't very funny at all". Maybe I should give it another shot now that it's cheaper.

I was just coming to post this. Like you, I was waiting for the Steam sale and was disappointed when it didn't happen there. I just started the download from Amazon.

Went ahead and grabbed the Deluxe version, and I can confirm it does not activate on Steam.

Glad to hear it, actually--my wife is currently monopolizing our Steam account with Skyrim and I'd hate to have to negotiate joint custody.

Ah cool, I'd been thinking about getting Gatling Gears after watching Total Biscuit's WTF for it the other day.

I can't get it to activate at all. There's a large downloaded file directory on my desktop, but everytime I try to run the install, the autopatcher, or the .exe I get error messages. The autopatcher and the .exe claim I'm missing the binkw32.dll file, and the install says an error has occured while running setup. Worse still, the Ubisoft forums are down for the holidays. Annoying.

It started off as $15, then had a permanent price reduction a couple of months ago to $10, and is currently on sale for $5.

Is your ubi launcher software up to date?

    Download the newest version here:

    http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/lau...rInstaller.exe

Also try this for the missing dll : http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/10...inkw32-missing

I'm still downloading from Amazon so haven't seen whether I can get it to work yet or not - I'll let you know if I have any luck or similar issues. When I bought it I just checked my key (from My Games on Amazon) on Steam to see if it would work there.

I got Silent Hunter 5 on Amazon downloads on Christmas or the day after - another Ubi game - and it installed, patched, and ran with no issues whatsoever.

Unfortunately, downloading games from Amazon is kind of hit-or-miss. If there's even one corrupted file among the ones you've downloaded, you can't just re-download the one file: you have to re-download the whole shebang (which is pretty ridiculous--they need to fix that ASAP if they want to be competitive with Steam).

I think I found the problem. My AV software was quarantining one of the files necessary for installation. I pulled it back out and am trying again. I'll update again when the process is done, for good or ill.

Yup, that was it. Anno 2070's installed now. I'll read the manual and fire it up later tonight.

Man, that's a pretty terrifying name for a DRM service. If I saw my computer was trying to log into "the conflux" I'd kick the power button and call the federal department of fighting Skynet.
