    Bargain Thread 2012 Edition

The other thread doesn't count as it's a lazy placeholder w/ no deals! ;)

BF3 PC Download edition for $29.99 on Amazon.

Also the Chrome browser edition of Bastion is $4.99 (needs Google Chrome browser, natch)

EA's holiday sale on iPad and iPhone games is winding down. Games like Madden 2012, FIFA 2012, Dead Space, Trenches 2 and lots of boardgame conversions like Monopoly are all $0.99.

Silversword, a new Bard's Tale homage RPG for iPad, is on sale for $1.99 for the holiday.

These were useful in the first post of the 2011 edition:

If you're in the UK simply games is selling the boxed copy of Saint's Row 2 for £1.99 (including shipping) I belive it activates on steam (who are currently selling the game for £4.99)

Green Man Gaming is advertising Fear 3 for $7.83, but it seems like an error -- they're saying it's 49% off, but that's 49% off the previously discounted price.

The site is also experiencing some technical issues, probably due to traffic volume.

Edit: Also, those $5 Amazon vouchers can now be used to buy one of the games on their best-seller list. Some games are still heavily discounted before the voucher is applied, such as:

Dawn of War II Retribution: $15
    Battlefield 3: $30
    Deus Ex Human Revolution: $17
    Mount & Blade Warband: $12
    Dead Island: $20

Be aware that Amazon has already sold out of product keys for Shogun 2 and Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition. They are not yet providing any ETAs for re-supply.

Yeah I just picked up FEAR 3 for £5 which is about as low as prices go over here.

Ooooo, nice, I like this thread better. This one should win.

Gamefly's Year End Sale is still live. Operation Flashpoint Red River for $10 is mighty tempting for the 360. As a few others. Have a look.

Use my vouchers to get Dead Island and Witcher 2 for $15 each. This is the first Steam sale where I've bought more stuff from non-Steam services than I did from Steam.

WTH? Kadath had already created a thread; what's with the dupe? Thread one-upsmanship? At this point, I'm surprised there weren't races to post "FIRST!"

I really don't care, but it did come across as a really douche move. Whatever, back to the top with my post, not worth me getting frosted over.

Agreed, and now we get to be continually reminded of that for the next 12 months.

Saint's Row 3 for £9.99 on Amazon UK. That's less than half the steam daily deal price. Isn't competition great?

Don't forget it's the last day of the 50% off sale on Good Old Games.

There's still 14 hours left before the sale ends.

From the other 2012 thread, worth reposting here:

$1 might be too much for some folks, but if you were at all curious about DNF, even if you're just looking to point and laugh, it's not likely to get any cheaper than that.

Similarly, I picked up GTA IV for free using the same method. I have it on the 360, but for free...? Sure, why not. (Note that I bought 4 or 5 of Amazon's discounted games from the appropriate period, and I have no desire to save $5 on games which are currently $10+ more than they were during the steam sale, so I'm really only interested in things which are insanely cheap due to the coupon.)

I belive you could also get the original Witcher:EE for $1.69 with the appropriate code.

Amazon's deal of the week is the PC download of LA Noire for $12.50.

In related news, it looks like most of their 2011 best-selling games list (the ones eligible for the $5 off coupon) have gone back to regular prices. Not unexpected, but a bit disappointing, since three of those games were sold out of their product keys pretty much all day yesterday. Dragon Age Ultimate is still sold out, in fact.

    I think I'll bite for a dollar.

Incidentally, I got my $5 Amazon voucher for purchasing Renegade Ops (with DLC) for $3, so for four dollars of my own money, I've got Renegade Ops and DNF for the lulz. Not too bad a deal. And after trudging through two hours of Garshap the Monster Slayer yesterday, I'll be amazed if DNF is a worse game.

Also, Gamer's Gate has Shogun 2's "Rise of the Samurai" DLC on sale for $1.76. Activates on Steam.

Shogun 2 and its DLC is apparently on deep discount at Gamers Gate all week, but I don't know if the base game activates on Steam. That site also includes user reviews and user scores. Unfortunately, user reviews cannot be voted on (or sorted by votes); they're just listed in reverse chronology.

Anyone have any coupons/codes that work on new games for either GamersGate or Direct2Drive?
