NWN missing save files--WTF??
Woo hoo! A technical support question!
So I'm finally getting into NWN, after resisting at first, and am now at Chapter 2.
Here's my conundrum. Yesterday, after an end-of-day NWN session at CGW, I put my saved game onto a disk and transferred it to my home rig. I've been doing this back and forth for a few days, no problem. But this a.m., when I fired up NWN, the Load Game screen does not recognize at all the existence of that saved file. Yes, it's in the proper directory. I even copied all the files inside that saved folder into an OLDER saved folder, and then THAT file disappeared as well on the Load screen.
Any clues what the heck is going on?? Never seen anything like this before. Oh yeah, I'm running the same version of the game on both rigs.
AGGGGGGGH!
Now going on to Icewind Dale 2 in the meantime....

You should be playing IWD2 anyway...that's what you get.

Yeah, gonna play IWD2 now until I figure out this problem. Bah!
I was thinking MAYBE it was different patch levels, but the one at home here is the latest--so wouldn't it be able to read the file from the work save, if that one was based on an earlier patch??
Fuckin' computers. Maybe I'll go play Super Monkey Ball 2 instead.

I've been playing IWD2 a bit and I can't say I like it any more than I liked the last one, which is to say "enh."
At least you don't have to spend all your time running around idiotically designed maps with tree roots and stuff. This one they give you ice crevasses instead.
I swear if you're making a game and you're going to design the maps all stupid and make people do A->B->C puzzle solving and shit, make the pathfinding better. I'm sick of my fighters taking the long route.
