There was some version of the Catalyst at least that would throw me into a loop of install/upgrade/reboot that would never end. Doing the clean remove, reboot into basic VGA, reinstall helped fix that, but that was rather obvious from what was happening. Usually I just run the regular updater.
I've never had a problem with nVidia drivers. Hell, I popped in a GTX460 to replace a 9800GTX and had no problems, though I then did a uninstall/reinstall anyways just to make sure.
With ATI drivers which seem to affect different cards in different ways for some ungodly reason, I would probably do a clean sweep every time.
Seems FXAA Injector has restored the high quality FXAA going on in a new version called 2.0.
I wouldn't recommend it if you use a 4gb patch, unless you feel like testing to see how it works, since the patch makes a new directory and uses that directory's .exe instead of the base Skyrim\TESV.exe
Might be able to install d3d and the ini files into the 4gb folder. Dunno... I don't use LAA.
Breezehome Enchanting table
Comes with apothecary and enchanting satchels on the table too, though if the apothecary satchel was already there before, I never noticed.
Still no sign of Bethesda's 4 GB enabler? So much for it coming out this week. I really don't understand the delay - it's a checkmark.
I just store all my ingredients and then when I go back to do a run of potion making, Take All is my friend. Not nearly as slick but it works.
Unfortunately there does not seem to be a Put All.
There's an ENB series Beta 9c up on the Nexus site, and I have to say wow... what an absolutely staggering difference this makes. The performance hit from the SSAO version is also (unfortunately) commensurate with the visual improvement, but I think I'm willing to tweak some other settings down in order to keep the occlusion.
You're referring to the PureENB Beta 9c, I assume. Keep in mind that's entirely beta. Right now distant fog is nearly nonexistent (making blizzards look like ass if you look out into the ocean, say from Windhelm), but it is indeed a stark change because the lighting of entire scenes is much more dependent on direct lighting. However, it should be obvious when using that version that Boris is not done replacing all the game's effects quite yet (like I said... fog).
I haven't made any effects for the FX Beta versions since it's sort of a waste of time for people to download right now, though it may be worth trying FX Beta 8b.
Yeah, the lighting is just phenomenal. It adds so much depth to virtually every environment. I haven't noticed the problem with fog yet but I've only been hammering shift-F12 on my way from Riverwood to the Bleak Barrows dungeon (taking my new paladin for a spin).
Keep in mind if you enable SSAO that its effects are dramatically reduced when any anti-aliasing is enabled except for FXAA.
A lot of these palette mods look worse than the original to me. Too overblown, the visual equivalent of sugary foods.
I'll settle for better lighting and shadows improving the sense of depth.
This is why I continue to recommend my HDR v1-8 settings.
Ahh, I was just coming here to ask that. I was doing without LAA but then I had a silent crash to desktop last night, so I might start using it again.
Having done a bit of digging, if using the 4gb patch stops ENB HDR working, you just need to use the 1.4 version of the 4gb patch instead of the current 1.5 version. That's fixed it for me.

I was doing the same thing. I got tired of fast traveling back to my house to store stuff so I loaded the weightless alchemy ingredients mod. IMO, this should have been the default. They are a crafting component. Making them weightless cuts down on micro management tasks without breaking gameplay.
I've only been using FXAA for a while now because AMD can't get its crap together when it comes to drivers. I've either lost performance or suffered from more erratic FPS in the last couple driver updates, and that's aside from the last Skyrim patch degrading my FPS by ~5 or so overall.
Yeah FXAA is still solid in regards to AMD. Lots of people testing HDR on ATI cards get drops even with no effects being rendered, just the .dll file causes it.
Must trust in Boris!
Not sure if this mod has been mentioned before, but its a pretty nifty improvement on the favourites menu. It extends the list and makes it easier to find your numbered items. (also quite a few options to personalize the display to your liking)

The required mod is that one where everything is renamed so alphabetical lists make sense - Healing Potion, Healing Draught, Healing Elixir etc, as opposed to putting them under er, D, E and P because er, well, y'know, er...
Good point, I installed a basic one a while ago, so my arrows & some potions are sorted, but its pretty incomplete.. Got a specific one in mind?
I expect we're thinking of the same one. Needs some CK work before it covers everything. I would have preferred him not to use numerals, which expose the spreadsheety nature than I would like. But it's not basically incompetent, so there's that :)

It is funny how there are mods that have been around since Oblivion/Fallout 3 or even Morrowind, they make the game better, and yet Bethesda just does not implement them, ever. Like the item sorter one, for example. Such a simple thing, I already used it in Fallout 3, why are the items messy here again?
The idea is great but I don't like the excessive item renaming -- I'd prefer to just rearrange the words, e.g. "Potion of Health, Minor". Does anyone know how this mod was created? The download page doesn't seem to say, and Skyedit doesn't show any contents for the ESP file.
Just tried out SkyUI. Wow. So awesome.
