Adobe fail: platform swap of CD keys

I know it's so generous and all of them to even offer this as an option, but I've been playing phone tag with Adobe's unstable Support Portal site (it redirects to unavailable.adobe.com right now!) in order to switch my Mac license of (purchased electronically digital download) Photoshop Elements 9 to Windows.

They now want $20.99 (!) to ship (Canada, $5.99 if in USA) out a disc to me instead of just providing me with a damn key swap.

What a fucking scam. I suppose I should check if my current key even works anymore if they've already invalidated that. Fuckers.

Back to pirating my (formerly legit) copy if that is the case.

Alright, I missed the "electronic ESD not eligible" boilerplate.

Blizzard wants $20 to transfer a WoW character to another server. It's just the price of doing business, mon.

Well, I showed them. I went and bought a boxed copy of Photoshop Elements which contains a serial that works for both platforms and can be activated on:
    1) 1 PC and 1 Mac
    or
    2) 2 Macs
    or
    3) 3 PCs

That'll show them. Me throwing another $120 their way.

You unleashed the fury for sure, rei.

I now leave this thread with a pic of rei on the phone with Adobe.

I bought CS3 Unknown Edition 5 years ago. I want to upgrade to CS5, and I know, just KNOW, that it'll be a fucking debacle because while they have an order # in the system tied to my account, it's before their new ordering system so it doesn't list the actual order contents. I'm going to be in a position of "Let me give you $700" and they're gonna be "Nah, how about $2000 unless you can find your original disks?"

    I'm proactively saying Fuck Adobe

By the time you get around to this, CS5 will be unsupported and you'll have to pay $300/mo on a subscription basis for CS6.
