    Program in use problem

Hey techies - I have two zero-byte files (cancelled transfers) that refuse to be deleted. Every time I try they say they're in use. I've booted into safe mode and got the same problem. I ran chkdsk - no help. I even got some program that tells me every process and the programs they have open - no luck.

I gotta think there's some way to get midevil on those files and yank em out.

Any suggestions? Am I doomed to have these files forever listed?

Can you boot to the command prompt and delete them from there?

Not sure if I read it here, but the trick of killing the explorer.exe process then going into a DOS shell worked.
