Baldurs Gate CD on Windows 7

I'm not particularly good with PC's, especially when it comes to getting old games to run. Every time I bring the menu up and click *install* Nothing happens. I've waited for a while, and there's no sign of anything happening.
What do I do noble QT3 users?

    Buy it from www.gog.com :P

On a serious note, find the game's .exe and right-click on it, then hit the compatibility tab and choose Windows 2000 or one of the other older versions of Windows.

Have you tried running the setup.exe as an administrator? Right click the executable on the CD and choose the option from the menu.

That's what I did, and then from there nothing happens.

Hey, just because it was a snarky answer doesn't mean it wasn't the right one

Regardless of how you get it working (and it's worth getting on gog.com for several reasons, not the least of which is the one single .exe also includes the expansion) be certain to look into Baldur's Gate TuTu so you can play in the BG2 engine, the widescreen mod, and also there is a small mod-fix that will fix the water from being green (which happens when you install TuTu). Highly recomended.
