They said they were starting the refunds last Friday I think, and that it would take around a week to work through everyone in the world.
The question I have is what in the world am I going to replace all my dodge runes with?
On what character? For most characters, I'd assume armor.
They just started to refund the dodge runes today.
Hotshot has, and it seems to work for him, though he still runs AP bursty nid some of the time as well. Word is the bruiser build is pretty much bog standard: wriggle's, warmog's, atma's, trinity, merc treads. Probably a negatron at some point.

Armor seems like the obvious choice, but it's so boring and unimpressive in comparison. For the past week in at least one game a day someone gets pissed off after I dodge an attack or two and types "Dodge? Really?"

Creepy? Really? They had to set something up to search every one of millions of accounts for dodge runes, and if finding them delete and refund them. They obviously never expected or intended to go around refunding runes when they built the system years ago. I fail to see anything even remotely creepy here.

This is why you ban Shaco. Motherfucker has double buff before solo lanes are level 2. Motherfucker doesn't need smite to do it. The bad old days are back again.

-edit- With the right combination of runes you can get lvl 3 aswell. 2:12 mins in and you got double buff and lvl 3 ready to gank lvl 1 solo lanes.

Yeah I see this every few Shacos in ranked, its why I ban him first now.
It may not be a question of architecture. The SQL to write this sort of update isn't that hard. But when dealing with millions of rows, it's not a bad idea to break things up into chunks. It makes it easier to fix a problem if one unexpectedly arises. And each batch executes more quickly.

The only thing required is 5AP, so one AP Quint. You also need to be careful about box positioning.
The "haha, I'm lvl 3 now and you're dead build" requires an XP Quint (so you may aswell get 2 AP Quints) and you need to do wolves before blue spawns. Can go more in-depth if you want.
What lets him do that? Is it the fear, or the amount of damage the boxes do?
both, really. the box fear keeps the mob at bay long enough so that it doesn't kill any of them before they can deal their full damage. Shaco's boxes need to be fixed by lowering the lifespan or amount you can have on the map.

Scaling the fear/damage/and how many boxes Shaco can have out by either the skill or champ level would probably fix the issue.
They do scale the fear and damage with level. Boxes are already limited by a 90 second lifespan.
I had no idea boxes could let him solo red entirely. I always thought he needed to smite.
