You need to have it installed before creating your pretender, since it influences the cost of some chassis.

Does CBM interfere with other games I am in? Do I need to continually enable and disable the mod, or is the game clever enough to know which games are run with it?
No, the game automatically handles this.

How are people doing with their pretenders? So far only 2 of 11 players have submitted.
Are you saying that you downloaded CBM, unzipped and put it in the mods directory, and now when you fire up the game and go to Mod Preferences nothing shows up? That sounds weird.
No chance until Sunday, at work all day Saturday, overnight, through Sunday morning.
I have a couple of pretenders ready, but I haven't had time to test them properly yet. I'm planning on doing that saturday evening (gmt +1), and I'll upload it right after that. I hope that's ok.
No rush people, we aim to start taking turns on Monday.
