If you want a small map, but endgame content, couldn't you just bump up the research and gold/turn? Can you do that for gems as well?
Damn that Gorgon.
Nate, if you haven't come up with a different map, I'm fine with the one we have. Shall we start?
I'm also thinking about maybe using slightly stronger indies (otherwise standard settings) to delay our inevitable titanic clash a little longer. What do you think?
Stronger indies are fine. I've had a ridiculously busy weekend (yes, part of that was Minecraft related), but I do have tomorrow off and no plans, so I'll get my nation choice in to pyrhic after I play around with a few ideas.
Graphs on or off? And any other settings non-default?
I'd leave the rest at default with graphs on, but I don't have strong opinions one way or the other. If you want to try something, I'll go along with it. Renaming is kinda important for me though.
Do you guys want me to set up and run/admin the game or will you take care of that?
I've set up the game: NaTenuki seemed a nature fit. As soon at tenuki gets me his choice and i've confirmed there's no problems, you're good to go
timer been wonky again, current time of 19:17 GMT about as inconvenient as possible for me
could we please postpone by 24 hours for this turn?
thanks
over 100 archers - all aim for the one SC, and not the 25 mages that are stationary and defenseless. One fucking volley would have routed them...
Seriously, wtf.....I mean, i didn't realistically expect to win, infact I just wanted to damage his forces while losing some of my higher maintenance troops, however....but i did expect to do some more damage.
Ya, i know....apparently every single one of them thought the prince of death with a shield in each hand also had a bow....
...just venting :P
i never got the double-shielded trampling pretender to work that well in previous games (due to fatigue): at least Nate got it to work!
I am reinspired.
I'm working through a few pretender ideas. Tenuki, do you want to set a date to start the game?
Esposito:
Turn hosts in 36 hours!
Well done dfs, well done
the irony is not lost on us.
I went AI in Esposito, cuz my dudes are all shizzled! Thank you all for the entertaining game. I didn't accomplish anything, but it was cool to be surrounded by Qt3 Hall of Famers, and interact (especially with ron_debry and Gryff, but really with everyone all around, like wahoo, Scribble, and dfs) with you all.
The two of whom? My best commander is now a geriatric mess who needs help putting his slippers on and remembering his name. And let's not talk about my fragile, senile troops. All of that because of old age!
Not even the earth is peaceful in your realm, the undead keep digging their way out. And now, they are even more "alive" and in good health. Talk of an "evergreen" land.
I share your concerns, however, the one killing my people right now is you. Leaving you alone will only make them even more dead. And, as a glorious and kind and generous and friendly leader I prefer ththem alive (besides, taxing undeads is such a chore)
Does anyone here know how to enable fixed starting locations?
We're using the twolands11 map on llama. The description says it has no fixed starting locations, and our caps were all over the place.
The one you get via the download link does have fixed starting locations, so I thought maybe the two maps aren't the same. I made a copy of the map with fixed starting locations, uploaded it to llamaserver as twolands12, and we started a new game.
This time my cap's fort was displayed literally OFF the map that I had uploaded myself, and the province name of my cap still wasn't the (fixed) name of the intended starting location.
There are two versions of twolands (twolands and twolands1.1) available, and they appear to be using the same .tga file, so I don't think that could be the cause for a third version messing up the graphics either. All I changed from version 2 to version 3 was the file name.
I feel stupid. Who knows how to start a game on twolands1.1 with, yet again, fixed starting locations?
Wow, Juffo. That must've been expensive...
Yeah, Obscuro is pretty much set for life. If only there was an easier way to get into air magic!
More like his Big, Fat, Greek Kids. War's a risky business.
Then again, Obscuro might become the new Pantokrator, or whatever they call the CEO these days.
