If you mean just getting from the pocket dimension back to normal, you do that by clicking the same icon you used to get into the pocket dimension in the first place. But if you mean getting out of the graffiti wizardland, I think you have to complete it. I've not found a way out of those short of hitting the teleport square at the end of the level.
You have to complete it, but most of them ('on level') are pretty easy. IF YOU DON'T PULL ANY GODDAMN LEVERS.
Is there any way to interact with objects under thrones? Like a fridge that spawns under a thrown.
I've run into this a few times. The thing to do, is use or cast something that explodes. That will often move the top thing off the bottom. I've done this many times for teleport pads I accidentally moved when blowing stuff up and they end up under an immovable object.
Good idea!
Daggers really seem underpowered right now.
I've heard you cannot reenter a wizard dimension.
I really need to stop playing in "can't reload after death" mode.
Damn it.
It really is incredibly less fun when not playing with Permadeath. It just feels grindy. Resist the urge.
Thanks for the Quest advice above, it helped a lot.
Especially the fact that I can zoom in the mini map....:)
Is that music from Chronotrigger in the Pocket Dimension?
Dbaum - how close are we to seeing that mega-patch?

WHAT IS THE 8-DAY OMINOUS COUNTDOWN FOR?!
My most recent Going Rogue/Permadeath/No Time to Grind/Realm of the Diggle Gods game gave me this:
Staff-fighting
Crossbows
Artful Dodging
Tinkering
Piracy
Communist
Egyptian Magic
Made it level 8 so far, loving Piracy and the dodging especially. Between Swashbucking and Mists of the Corsair and all the dodge bonuses, I can stand toe-to-toe with a lot of enemies. Having maxed those and the weapon skills, I'm moving on to Egyptian Magic. I'm a bit confused about the Sandstorm, though. It says on the wiki that it has a chance to cast The Test of Time buff on me, but instead I keep getting The Ruin of Time. Am I missing something to use it right?
Nice!
Egyptian Magic has some issues - Ruin of Time is supposed to be a debuff applied to monsters while the player should receive the Test of Time buff. I've fixed this for the next patch, though using sandstorm copiously will have a chance of leaving an entirely different debuff on you as part of a nerfing.
(Also of interest: in Piracy, Broadside is revamped to be better and gets new sound.)
Is this the place for more interface whining?
Ok, I'd like a much better crafting interface, but that's a lot of work, so never mind. What probably isn't a lot of work, though, is the godforsaken Yes/No dialogs.
Is there a keyboard shortcut that maps to "yes, I want to disarm that"? Same story for a lot of the other dialog popups, which don't seem to have keybindings.
The hitbox for quickkey slot #7 is very, very finicky at 1920x1200 with inventory scaling on. Once you manage to drag an item into/out of it works fine, but the first time seems to bizarrely ignore clicks. Like it's really hard to get an inventory item to drag onto there.

People are doing some fun things with encrusting.
Lord Dredmor 360 NOSCOPE
Cool, thanks for the info. I figured out that if I stay out of the sandstorm, I get the Test of Time. But if I walk into it at any point, I lose Test of Time and get Ruin of Time instead. So there's an easy workaround of "stay out of your own sandstorm, dumbass" that works just fine, until the patch.
Buffs are always nice, but I dunno if Broadside needs to be a lot better. It already occasionally kills things and always gives you free Heavy Shot ammo. My random build didn't have the Throw skill, unfortunately, but I could see it being pretty good to have free Heavy Shot with throwing bonuses. Still, no complaints if Broadside would be a little more consistent with the aiming.
It's always the place for interface whining! I'd love to do the crafting interface better, but Dredmor UI can properly be described as something between "brittle" and "held together with tape". Sometimes literally.
But yes, I've added a couple of these quality of life UI improvements to The List of post CotW-fixes. We'll do what we can, especially with the critical crashing and more gross balance issues out of the way.
Huzzah!
Now if I could just manage to kill Vlad. His resist list doesn't make much sense, the only thing I can really hurt him with is chucking Clockwork Sawblades at his head.
Oh, and a possible bug: with either 98% magic resist or 100% magic reflect, Vlad's lightning attack hits me every single time for huge damage. Is it because it's AOE, and treated as trap damage or something?
New at this, but this is the most common reason I'm dying: I'm in a hectic fight and accidently pick up an object a dead opponent drops(I assume), and then can't fight or move.
Then I get surrounded and can't drop it either. By the time I struggle to put it in the inventory, I don't have enough hp to survive the fight.
You can use WASD to move which will let you walk over items one square at a time when you need to, step onto open doors instead of closing them, and purposefully (I totally meant to do that) step on traps. If you pick something up you can also walk around with WASD while the item is still held as your cursor if your backpack is full. Remember that the game is actually turnbased and if you do accidentally pick something up you can drop it in your inventory (I) without taking a turn, but dropping it on the floor next to you will take a turn.
