I used Ball of Hurt. I finally got a nightmare pickaxe from two failed attempts to kill him, so I had a nice arena carved out and plenty of space to face him. And drop the ball downward onto his body from the highest platform and hit like 8 sections a few times each. Did go through about 20 lesser health potions though.Originally Posted by Pogo

What exactly are they changing? You can't exactly spam potions now, though it's close enough most of the time.
Half the amount healed by potions, 1 minute cooldown.
Yeah, that'll make things quite a bit more difficult.
You have a passive health regen now tho, and potions that increase it.
Killed the eater, mostly using the vilethorn.
And I managed to lose my phase blade some how. Sigh. It might be in the chest in the little gold hut place in the underground jungle I'm trying to make ny spawn point (4 attempts to get back down there with doors have ended in death before making it to the place. Already dropped off a bed).
I crafted Night's Edge a while ago and got my Molten Armor, destroyed the goblin army and killed the bosses multiple times.
There really needs to be an end boss or some kind of final challenge in this game so that you have something to do wenn you are fully geared up.

You were not brought into this world to get it.
I'm pretty over hammering out existing backgrounds. I really wish we could just pave over them. Or that we'd at least be given a decent fucking hammer (one that swings fast and removes dirt in 1 hit).
Background removal is getting a "buff" next patch.
Also the last hammaxe removes everything in 1 hit! :p
For hammering the Molten still takes 2 hits. It's annoying because I, like every right thinking person, desperately want to live in a hobbit hole similar to Bag End.

Yeah, right. That's what dynamite is for, I always thought. Half a dozen of those red sticks will make a hole big enough for any purposes. Just make sure that you hammer a crack into the background near where you want the TNT to remove background.

I bought Terraria during the steam summer sale. Have been waiting for this patch since then before diving into the game (I have played for a few hours here and there, but nothing serious.) Excited to finally have the patch coming out today!

I don't think bathtubs delayed the patch for 1 month... or did they?!
And toilets. Comfortable toilets, apparently!
Nah. Seriously, maybe it was the damage types. That would seem like the type of "obviously" simple change that would really cause a big headache once you dived into it.
