That is an amazing deal on F:NV. Everybody who doesn't have the game, go buy it now.
Is F:NV standalone? I own Fallout 3, but on DVD, not a digital service.
Yes it is.
Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum 50% off at D2D. I've heard very mixed opinions about it. Is it worth it?
I'm liking this pcdddeals.com RSS feed already. You guys are missing 50% off Avadon (with a coupon) and NWN2 Platinum at D2D. Oops, countzero snuck it in.
Anyway, very convenient so far, and no console stuff mixed in like at CAG (although I never looked for a PC-only RSS feed there).
BTW, every day until the 20th, Steam will be spotlighting one of these games with special offers.
Today is Spiral Knights. Play until you "reach the first Clockwork Terminal from any gate in the Haven Arcade and unlock the 'Mission Accomplished' achievement" to get a pretty cool looking TF2 hat. (We all love TF2 hats right?)
Anyone know how much of a time investment it would take to get that achievement? Hell, has anyone even played this game? I hadn't heard of it before yesterday.
The original campaign is OK: the first Act is kind of a long slog unfortunately, but it picks up steam after that. MotB is excellent; the best Obsidian title and one of the best RPGs I've played in the last decade. [It continues immediately after the OC, but you can make a fresh char and play thru without ever finishing or even trying the OC.] Storm of Zehir is...I would call it an interesting experiment & worth playing just to see how Obisidan took the NWN 2 engine and turned it into a semi-open dungeon crawl; but it kinda falls flat in the end in terms of plot & character, which is usually Obsidian's key strength. There are also many excellent mods for NWN 2 on the NW Vault, though nowhere near as many as NWN 1 has.
It definitely has its faults, but unless you hate the D&D 3.5 ruleset or come to hate NWN 2's UI, it's worth it just for MotB, IMHO - everything else is just a bonus. Check the various Qt3 NWN 2 threads for more feedback & tips.
In on that Vegas deal, damn that is a quick price drop, game isn't even a year old yet.
Would anyone like to gift me New Vegas from D2D and get reimbursed by Paypal? Stupid internets.
