mmm, sepia tones...
i long for a new video card; i'm really really really finding it difficult to wait for the next next generation... my gf3ti200 is REALLY dragging ass nowadays. sigh.
If you have a chance check these out. They are under the custom settings in the 3D tab. They allow you to play games in black and white or that brown and white old movie look. There are a number of others that are less useful but kind of neat to get a look at like the stylized black and white. I fired up Mafia with the Classic filter and it looked like a 1930s film.
Overall the filters are a cool little hidden toy to play with in the 3.8 cats.

I wanna see screenshots of Max Payne 2 in the classic filter. Sopping film noir from every pore...yum.

Ooooo.
I hate useless features.
Try it on Mafia, Max Payne, Medal of Honor or some other game that would fit with that kind of treatment. Gee Halo doesn't look good in the style of a 1930's movie who would have thought! ;)Originally Posted by XPav
I won't disagree about the feature being a novelty feature but I don't think I really portayed it as anything different. I just thought it was kind of cool looking and thought maybe some other people might want to check it out. Maybe I will post shots of Mafia or Max Payne 2 with it turned on to show you what I am talking about.

IL-2 is another good one for the black & white shader.
The "Stylize - Black and White" option is kind of fun for those modern games, using the effect of making everything black and white except for certain colors on certain objects.
A completely useless feature, but still fun.

MOH with the classic filter. Couldn't figure out how to get screens on MP2 and Mafia.
