Yeah, yeah.
After two 360 overheats, the Jets lost to the Cowboys. We lose LT for 8 weeks with a broken collarbone, they lose Jay Ratliff for 11 weeks with a dislocated hip.
This does not bode well at ALL.

Wow, check this out. According to these numbers the Giants, Ravens, and Jets have the best teams counting # of players in the 80-100 range (starters), and when you consider 76-79'ers they're still tops by far.
According to these same numbers our Super Bowl Winner has the worst team in the league. It truly shows anyone can win with the right gameplay.

Okay, open trade: Mark Sanchez and Antonio Cromartie for a better QB. I am open to offers.
lol, strummer. That Ray Edwards wasn't for you!
He's not my style of QB.
This is a trade proposal which I'm only offering because of how you played the Titans - as it might be up your alley. Otherwise I know it's not the best deal. But - if you wanted a very fast QB and moderate CB, I could trade Pat White & Deshea Townsend for your crappy QB (NOT MArk Sanchez) and Antonio Cromartie. That would give you more options for your offensive gameplan.
Pat's low OVR is due to his poor Deep Throw & Awareness stat - but the rest of his stats are pretty fantastic.
Edwards is just hanging out there as a tease, isn't he.
Phyrric Victory for the Vikings.
ADP - Out 7 Weeks
"Rodeo" Jared Allen - Out 11 Weeks
Mightynute - not sure if you're considering the QB/CB trade I mentioned a few posts up, but my other CB Jacob Lacey could go too. He's a little better than Deshea Townsend.
So, the Dolphins opened their season on the road against the Cleveland Browns and the EA Sports trademark elastic AI. After a scoreless first quarter, we opened up a 14-0 lead before yielding back-to-back field goals (one on either side of the half) to make it a one-possession game.
The field goal drives were helped along quite a bit by that crazy superhuman catch-up ability AI players seem to get when they're behind. Colt McCoy had only 85 yards passing in the game, but 38 of those came on a single pass to Brian Robiskie on one of their scoring drives.
We got out of trouble by discovering our fullback as a decent receiver out of the flat, as well as a good short-yardage rushing weapon. As a result, Lousaka Polite finished with 9 receptions for 67 yards and 1 TD, to go with 2 rushes for 19 yards before getting knocked out of the game with a high ankle sprain. He didn't go out without a fight, though, knocking a Cleveland player out of the game on each of his rushes, including putting ROLB David Bowens (76 overall) on the shelf for 11 weeks with a herniated disk.
Rookie free safety Dorian Hill made his presence known with a pair of tackles and an interception for 17 yards, but that was offset by an 8-yard interception Henne threw to Cleveland strong safety T.J. Ward.
Henne wasn't too bad otherwise, completing 24 of 37 for 4 TDs and 259 yards. Compare that to Colt McCoy's 7 of 22 for 85 yards.
The running game wasn't terribly great for either team. Jerome Harrison led the way with 13 attempts for 75 yards, with Ronnie Brown taking 20 carries for 55 yards. That Browns run defense is scary.
Dan Carpenter was 1 for 1 on field goals, nailing one from 30 yards out to close the game.
Brandon Marshall led all receivers with 7 receptions for 96 yards and a pair of TDs. Roy Williams pitched in with 6 receptions for 82 yards and one TD. And then there's the aforementioned Lou Polite.
The Browns receivers weren't really much to write home about. That team is clearly intent on riding Harrison to victory.
Barn burner in my first league game against the AI. Back and forth. I only manage to stop the Texans 3 times in total. Two picks and missed FG. I get the ball back down 3 with like 1:49 left and 1 timeout. With 13 seconds left in the game from the 21 this happens:

Man, that Texans corner better be searching for a new job!
Quick note since we have new people.
Don't spam the AI or each other (ie. never punting, running the same play every down, running up the score). We'll want to see who are legimitate league leaders and record holders so try to keep it fair.
Mightynute - this might make you feel a tad better. The Titans played horrible tonight.
Their first play of the game? Fumble. http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/65780422
Their next set of downs?Interception. http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/65780474
They missed 2 field goals, and left my wide recievers wide open at times: http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/65780552

I'd offer Tom Brady, but I don't want to face this guy twice a year! Yow!
This is also a year without Patriots/Colts. Weird!
The battle for league MVP is on! Tom Brady and... John... Skelton?
Damn dude. KO returns for a TD are mad difficult even with Hester.
So, after only 9 games played in week 1, the butcher's bill is stacking up:
ARI: Calais Campbell, broken ribs, 4 weeks
CHI: Mark Anderson, upper arm fracture, 4 weeks
CLE: David Bowens, herniated disk, 11 weeks
DAL: Jay Ratliff, dislocated hip, 11 weeks
HOU: Bernard Pollard, broken collarbone, 7 weeks
HOU: David Anderson, fractured vertebrae, CAREER-ENDING
IND: Clint Session, abdominal tear, 2 weeks
KC: Reshard Langford, broken collarbone, 12 weeks
MIN: Jared Allen, broken collarbone, 11 weeks
MIN: Adrian Peterson, broken hand, 7 weeks
NYJ: LaDainian Tomlinson, broken collarbone, 8 weeks
WAS: Santana Moss, fractured toe, 8 weeks
Okay, two things:
1) The league needs to take a look at all these broken collarbones, yeesh!
2) Jesus Christ, Xaroc! What in the hell did you hit David Anderson with, a train?
Injuries felt kind of insane. Surprisingly enough, Richard Seymour was carted out in Oakland, but it wasn't more than a banged up knee that had him miss the rest of the game. At different times during the Patriots' game, Jamaal Charles, Leigh Bodden, Brandon Meriweather, Tully Banta-Cain, and Brandon Tate all hobbled to the sidelines.
Damn...Xaroc takes the early lead for mortality rate...
In light of these injuries, I'd like to point out the perfectly acceptable substitutes I have available for trade. I feel like a used car salesman.
I had carted off during my game for varying periods:
- John Conner (bruised chest, out 2 quarters)
- LT (shattered collarbone on what should have been a penalty horse-collar tackle)
- Kyle Wilson (abdominal strain, out 2 quarters)
- Nick Mangold (abdominal strain, out for a series or so)
- Shaun Ellis (don't recall what, out 1 quarter)
Our current #1 HB is the young man from Army. Toby Gearhart and rookie FA will back him up. Might try Tavarus Jackson at HB too.
